The moment we learned about Cepes from HappyCow, it was clear we had to go there! Calling and reserving the vegan dinner was no trouble at all. The place is atmospheric and staff extremely friendly as well as knowledgeable. Our 4-course menu was superb! Although the place is primarily omni, the plant based options were just as carefully composed and lovingly presented as the regular dinner. Everything was on the point of perfection. We take home some exciting new sensory experiences and agree with fellow reviews that this dinner is highly recommended.

Op verzoek maken ze vegan meergangen menu. Je kunt ook nog aangeven wat je niet lust. De mensen zijn heel fijn! Als Karolien er is, zijn er ook vegan wijnen. We hebben ook eens een ober gehad die aangaf dat ze dat niet hadden /deden, maar die wist toch nog een vegan wijntje te vinden in het assortiment. Blijf je slapen in het hotel? Dan heb je de aangename verrassing van een uitgebreid Vegan ontbijtje de volgende dag. Heerlijk brood, salade en fruit!

Heerlijk 4 gangen verrassingsmenu - Edit
Verrassend en heerlijk menu met diverse extra hapjes. Ons vegan menu was qua look and feel afgestemd op dat van onze niet-vegan tafelgasten. M.n. de dry-aged biet was geweldig. En tevens een breed scala aan non-alcoholic wijntjes om het geheel af te maken. Zeer zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

This is the restaurant of Hotel De Sterrenberg.
Read moreWe had made a reservation the day prior at the registration desk of the hotel, and asked for a vegan menu. It was noted and said to be no problem, and that the kicthen staff know very well what vegan means (I explained just in case😉
When arriving in the restaurant, the waitress seemed to be taken by surprise (about the vegan aspect) and went to check in the kitchen regarding the vegan menu. She came back and said that the kitchen staff could 'freewheel' a menu for us (??).
So something must have gone wrong with our reservation.
Nonetheless, we had a lovely dinner.
The appetizer and main dish were good, but no out of the ordinary combinations or flavours. The dessert was really special and a pleasant susprise.
A small appetizer with dried tomato, watermelon and nasturtium
Appetizer with red beet, grapefruit, pistache nuts and balsamico
Main dish: pearl barley, tomato, asparagus, carrot, turnip, samphire
Dessert: Rhubarb, frozen celery, apple ice, with tarragon powder
At 37€ pp. a more than reasonable price!
Very nice setting. Comfortable and spacious.
Fuly accessible + accessible toilet.
