Fresh and yummy

I've been to Remedy several times. Overall, I think it's a pretty great place and would recommend it. There are lots of vegan options: they have smoothies, juices, other drinks, and some creative savory vegan items. They make their own coconut and almond milk. There is a good amount of seating and a few seats outside. They have pretty good prices for what they offer. I've tried a few difference menu items: the vegan protein smoothie bowl was underwhelming. It tasted decent, but was served in a weird bowl and did not look "Instagram worthy." I know this comment might sound odd, but presentation is really important and I can't see customers sharing pictures of their bowls (which would be free advertising for Remedy). They also use coconut sugar in several of their smoothies which is unnecessary, so I ask to leave it out. They do have many good smoothies though, I haven't been disappointed.

Overall, I would recommend Remedy. There are lots of vegan options, but Remedy needs to work on the presentation of their food.

Pros: Lots of vegan and raw vegan options, Good prices, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Food is not presented very well

Green juice and coffee

Recommended for their green juice and coffee. The acai bowl is okay (served with frozen fruit on top). Children’s play area can get really loud.

Meh

I got the breakfast burrito with tofu instead of egg, no cheese, no bacon. It was a wet, messy, kinda bland burrito that fell apart. And they didn't cook the tofu so it was cold. They tried 😆

Pros: Cute space with healthy food, Friendly staff, Can adapt menu to be made vegan

Cons: Food wasn't very good

Good vegan option on our tour stop

We stopped in town during a tour out of Portland. We used Happy Cow and found this cafe. They serve, juices, smoothies, bowls, and other smaller meal items.
We ordered an Aloha smoothie (neither of us enjoyed that, it just wasn’t flavorful), a tamale plate (which was good), and a burrito (we were served a burrito bowl but we ate that anyways and it was good.)
If stopping in at lunch, it seems like it can get a bit busy and wait times might get a bit longer. But we were able to eat and get back in time for our tour to continue. We were happy to find a vegan option in town!

Pretty good vegan options

Several vegan options, very much healthy vegan as opposed to vegan junk foods. Great place to stop before/after the mountain.

Loved it!

Today was our second visit to Remedy this summer and we loved it both times. We both had Buddha Bowls and Aloha smoothies. Both were excellent. Also picked up a couple Chunky Monkey peanut butter balls for the road and wished we'd bought more. So good!

It's so wonderful to find a place you can count on for fresh, healthy, vegan options while passing through Hood River.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Yummy food

Unfortunately not recommended

The only positive I can give about visiting here was that it was centrally located vegan food in Hood River. I would not recommend the food. Like many places these days, I'm sure they're having trouble finding staff so I don't want to to dwell too much here. I'll be happy to update the next time I come through if this was just an off day.

Pros: no stress vegan food, price is fine, cute, clean vibe

Cons: overly salted / unmixed rice, reordering items never came / multiple times, overall underwhelming food

One of the healthiest places to eat in the gorge.

Excellent fresh juice, wellness shots, and grain/greens/bean bowl options.

So nice to have a clean space, quality ingredients permeate the air
Glory Salad Bowl wasn’t very creative but was very satisfying.
Green Tara Smoothie was yum.
Kale coffee had a nice cayenne kick
Thank you

5 stars in my heart . . .

Delicious and fresh salads and juices! The only negative thing I can think of was the jazz playing in the background. But that’s just me, probably.

Good & Healthy!

We’re vegan and stopped here for lunch, basing our decision on previous Happy Cow reviews. We weren’t disappointed! We ordered the vegan tamale plate (delicious), golden milks eliminating coconut milk & oil & made with their house-made almond milk instead (smooth & warming), then Kale Coffee to share during the rest of our drive. We loved all the healthy choices and the uniqueness of our kale coffee. Yes, we’ll be back to try something else next time.

Pros: Vegan options and organic, fresh!, Friendly, Clean

Cons: None

great place

Lots of vegan options. I had the pumpkin protein- flax smoothie and it was great. Price is what I'd pay for a lunch or so. Friendly service and nice place to hang.

Most Amazing!

This was the best surprise of our road trip! Four of us ate brunch/lunch here, only one of us is really crazy about raw food and vegan eating, yet all four of us were very happy with our meals. They have burritos and bowls to suit most choices, even chicken as an option for meat-eaters, but the emphasis is on delicious fresh juices and smoothies, tasty burritos and some great energy balls and raw brownies. Super nice people, room for a small crowd, reasonable prices and a clean, bright decor. We will stop here again and again!!

Pros: Excellent vegan and raw food, Rice, beans, cheese and chicken options, Bright and clean with friendly staff

Cons: None that we experienced

Fresh and clean!

So having eaten last night at a place in Hood River that might have given us a little stomach bug, we needed something for breakfast that was healthful and tasty. Well we found it here. The owner is a very friendly and helpful gentleman, and the menu is mostly vegan (I have been vegan for almost 27 years). My partner and I both ordered the Acai bowl, and some orange juice and an Americano coffee. She said it was the kindest coffee she has ever had, and our bowls were so tasty and beautiful (we posted the photo here). We both will come back again and we highly recommend this place to all travelers!

A great pre-hike fuel station!

We went to Hood River to see an art exhibit at the Columbia Center for the Arts and serendipitously discovered Remedy Juice Cafe across the street. It ended up being the perfect place to grab lunch before our hike in the gorge. It's bright, cheerful and quiet with a delicious offering of almost exclusively vegan options. I believe Dakota is the owner, and he was friendly and welcoming, and helped us select from the menu - which all sounded good, making it hard to choose! We enjoyed the Pranic Pulse juice, Follow Your Bliss smoothie, Glory Bowl and Curry Bowl. It was the perfect pre-hike meal, and we'll definitely return on our next trip to Hood River!
