Delicious & nutritious choices - Edit
Loved my experience here! They have rice & udon noodle bowls (either build your own or they have preset ones) and they are packed with yummy veggies & tofu. The best part is the sauce though, I got the spicy sauce and it was amazing. Definitely looking forward to coming again and trying the other sauces!

Delicious bowls and that’s all - Edit
This place lets you make your own bowls. It’s not really a Japanese restaurant though. It’s got food that is traditionally Japanese, like udon, presented in an untraditional way.

A welcome addition to Newbury Street - Edit
Boston proper has a surprising lack of vegan eateries...until now. This is a Japanese-inspired, bowl-concept, newcomer on Newbury. I had a Humble Bowl with a rice base, chopped raw greens, roast veggies, mushroom and cauliflower, with ponzu sauce (yum!) siracha. The food was fresh and tasty, and the combinations were innovative. They also had a nice selection of beverages. And the place was spotless.
Read moreAdditionally, the food was not laden with fake-foods or oil. Nothing was fried. Not a cupcake in sight. This is vegan food for adults who are serious about eating for good health.
The location is great - near the Haynes Convention Center, Copley Place and many cultural spots, not to mention in the heart of the Boston shop-til-you-drop district.
This is a wonderful, much needed addition to the Boston Vegan restaurant scene.
Pros: 100% vegan, Healthy foods, Great location

We loved this place and love the concept—food for health that tastes great too! Only open since May, 2019, this place is a gem in the veg restaurant scene waiting to be discovered!

Japanese Whole Heart - Edit
Pretty much Whole Heart Provisions with Japanese flavors.
Read moreThe miso-avocado is WORTH IT. The portions are extremely generous and the nutritional content is great. The sauces are delicious.
A very solid vegan option for those times when you are on Newbury Street. Filling, nutritious, generous portions.
Not a huge fan of the decor and seating, but then again I don't like fast casual in general. I think they could do with a little bit of investment into making it a little more cozy and less cafeteria-like.
That being said if this were closer to work I would be having takeout lunch from here all the time. A really solid option and very welcome to have a purely vegan option on Newbury Street.
Pros: Great Sauces, Great Iced Teas, Generous Portion
Cons: Limited seating, long narrow benches, Flavor depth and freshness could be better, Lighting and decor are barebones

So good! - Edit
Just ate here for the first time and loved the food! It’s a bowl place like most but all vegan options! The toppings are categorized for you into things that go well together or you can choose your own. They also make their own sauces that you can try!

New Asian all vegan place - Edit
Only been open 4 days but deserves to do well. Can afford to be more confident in their offering. Great tasting and reasonable choice in a ‘fast food’ kind of way as you add choice of veggies to your rice as you move along the counter. Hand written notes to guide you and lack of salt/pepper/soy sauce are schoolboy errors but a nice, gentle vibe and, the key point, great tasting food.

Wholesome, nourishing, and generous - Edit
Came in on their 4th day open. Located in a very popular area of Newbury Street in Back Bay which is very convenient to get to with public transportation. The ambiance is delightful with instrumental music playing, happy faces greeting you and a variety of Japanese inspired murals. There are a few high tables to sit at which is a new experience for me.
Read moreThe menu revolves around the “humble bowl”, a grain and veggie build that you build in 3 steps: 1. Sushi-rice, 2. Topping, and 3. Sauce. The rice choices are a white rices with some veggies and a forbidden rice base with veggies they call “red rice”, hence the name Red-White. The rice is then topped with a superfood green veggie blend that is savory and delicious. The toppings have various names, each with their unique combo of flavors and veggies. I picked balanced which included their rotating combo of veggies, they complimented each other well. Next with the sauces there are a variety of options, each with their own unique pallet. All of the sauces are thick like a chutney or salsa. As a last step you can have spicy mayo/mayo drizzled on top and either sesame seeds or pumpkins seeds sprinkled on top. You also have the option to make your own combination with up to 6 veggies on top in step 2.
The bowl I had was delicious, nourishing, and very filling. The flavors were well paired and each had their place on my pallet. There was no greasiness, overt sweetness, or artificial tastes. All the veggies were recognizable and finely cooked.
The portions are extremely generous and would definitely say you could easily split a bowl with a friend and be satiated. There is a selection of different types of cold brewed green teas that are well balanced and not bitter as well. There are smoothies available as well. All containers and utensils are compostable. Lastly, it is almost entirely GLUTEN-FREE, except for the “white rice” base.
They staff are all very enthusiastic and helpful. I really had a great experience and appreciate this well-done, zen, vegan nook in a trendy part of Boston. I would come time and again and recommend you bring non-veg friends here as well.
Pros: Delicious , Healthy ingredients , Variety
