Well worth a stop - Edit
Appreciate that there is a dedicated vegan portion of the menu that includes a wider range of choices than most restaurants that are not solely vegan. The handful of times I’ve been here the food has consistently been well portioned and tasty!

Great Option In Paso Robles - Edit
Stopped here for breakfast on a trip from SF-LA. I would definitely return, it’s like 4 minutes off the freeway and has a number of vegan options. I got a tofu breakfast burrito with jalapeño (fresh not pickled!) potato etc. Pretty delicious, I’d get it again.

Tasty and thoughtful vegan options - Edit
Great vegan breakfast with many thoughtfully created options. Good creative tofu use such as the tofu Benedict. Delicious but be prepared for a little wait.

Vegan Reuben - Edit
I was so happy to see some creative, vegan options on a deli menu. Vegan tuna made with chickpeas, apple walnut melt, avocado Reuben and the standard veggie sandwich with sprouts, cucumbers, etc. I opted for the vegan Reuben and it did not disappoint. They didn’t skimp on the avocado and the grilled vegetables were a nice addition. Everything you love about a Reuben without the meat. SO good. I also like their kids menu $5 for a half PBJ, chips and a drink. Can’t beat that!

Lot of people complaining here. I grew up in paso and am so thankful that red scooter offers vegan options. Their chickpea melt and Thai salad are both GREAT.

Great find! - Edit
I was traveling through Paso Robles and was pleased to find a place with so many vegan options for breakfast and lunch. My party tried the breakfast sandwich, southwest salad and the natural sandwich. I would recommend the breakfast sandwich and highly recommend the southwest salad. The natural sandwich was good but the others were much more flavorful. They also had three plant based milks for coffee.

No Fuss Sandwich Stop - Edit
I was starving for a sandwich and this delivered. So happy they had a vegan menu (it would be really nice if they included this on their regular menu board to encourage others to choose these options). The sandwich hit the spot. I do think it's expensive for what you get, the sandwich is small and does not come with a side for $10 (although we were passing through so this might be normal for here)
Read moreThey did have baby chairs which was great but no bathrooms or somewhere to wash your hands. If open you can use the theatre next door to use the washroom.
If the weather had been sunny it would have been lovely to grab a sandwich and head over to the park right across the road.
Pros: Vegan menu, Baby chairs
Cons: Pricey, No washrooms, Limited seating

Vegan options, not vegan committed - Edit
Saw this location on HappyCow and decided to try. We missed the vegan menu on the door, but there were vegan notated items on the big menu. Ordered the Veggie Wrap and asked if that was already vegan, they said no so I had asked to be made vegan. We also ordered the Thai Noodle salad and asked that it also be made vegan and to add tofu. Adding tofu was not an option on their POS so the cashier had asked and the lady said ‘tap on the Add Chicken option, but notate it as tofu’. I was a bit skeptical, but if that is there workflow, so be it.
Read moreFood came and veggie wrap was out first. Good simple veggie wrap. When the Thai Boodle salad bowl came out, the tofu looked odd. I grabbed a piece and pushed it together and sure enough, it was chicken. We brought to the front and they were glad to remake it and apologized. When we received the remade one, the plastic container looked like it was just rinsed, not a fresh container. We thought it would still have chicken ‘juices’ left over. So, there was now tofu, but after I took a bite I moved the contents around and there was another piece of chicken. They probably remade it in the same bowl and didn’t rinse. Gross. Returned and got a refund then left.
Pros: Vegan options on menu
Cons: Not committed to vegan orders.

should be five stars!! - Edit
On a driving trip, stopped here for "vegan options". Posted on door was quite a long "new" vegan menu with many options, much more than I expected. Inside, the woman could not have been more accommodating. I ordered smoothies, wraps, and brownies, and she instructed her employee how to make the wraps "car friendly" which worked out perfectly. She was very familiar with what is or is not vegan too-no explanation necessary (inc honey not being vegan/she knew that). So, very happy with menu, very happy with service, and the food was-yay!-delicious! We had Green Machine and Veggie Berry smoothies-the first has avocado with lemon and the latter has mixed berries, both on a cucumber/spinach and banana base, the Green made with orange juice and the Berry made with apple juice. The Tofu Thai wrap had a really tasty peanut sauce with peanuts etc, and the Veggie Wrap was made using a spicy sauce instead of a balsamic vinaigrette dipping sauce (not good for car travel so the woman suggested the spicy sauce, very cool). The vegan and gluten free brownies, made in San Luis Obispo, were exceptionally delicious. I recommend this place highly. Just tell them you're vegan (or whatever) when you order and everything will go perfectly. Yum!

Red Scooter should not be on HappyCow - Edit
I was excited to eat at this place after reading one of the reviews. However, because they only offer vegan options they are not fully committed to vegan customers. I probably should have read more.
Read moreFirst, the vegan menu is only on the door as you enter. There is nothing vegan mentioned on the huge chalkboard menu or paper menus inside. Because of that you have to order from memory based on what you saw at the door. It also doesn’t that the staff is not familiar with their own vegan options. We waited in line about 10-15 mins to order and asked for the Chickpea tuna sandwich because we could not remember what it was called on the door menu. We tried to confirm that it was the vegan sandwich by mentioning we wanted the one made with Chickpeas. The person at the register called it Tunaliciious and we said OK. After a 40 min wait we were brought tuna sandwiches made with Tuna and not Chickpeas. When we complained we were told we ordered the wrong sandwich. We got a refund and left. Luckily we were just passing through using HappyCow because I would never go back.

Great little sandwich shop! - Edit
We stopped on our way to San Francisco and I’m so glad we did! There are clearly marked vegan items on the menu and I decided to go with the Avocado Reuben. It was messy and delicious, probably the best vegan reuben I’ve ever had! We’ve already decided that this will be one of our usual stops on the way to SF since it’s the halfway point.
