hands down favorite vegan place in flag - Edit
Been here before, been here again. STILL the best. I love the service, ( even when it is busy and takes a bit longer to get your food.) I love the waiters.. but most importantly the food is that damn good. I cannot put into words how much I wish this was right next door to me. love love love. worth. every. penny. Highest recommendation.

A reason to travel to Flagstaff - Edit
I was in Flagstaff on vacation, and this place makes me want to come back. We ate their multiple times. Everything we had was EXCELLENT! I highly recommend this place. And the location is great. Right in the heart of Flagstaff with lots of nearby shopping and sites. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Delicious, comforting meal - Edit
We ordered the fresh rolls, green curry with fried tofu, and pineapple fried rice with fried tofu. We didn't expect the complimentary side salads, spring rolls and wontons! Everything was so delicious... and we really needed veggies and comfort food after an 8 hour drive. This was perfect. Excellent service and cool, laid-back aesthetic, as well.

I’ll start by saying that my husband and I LOVE Thai food and probably have it at least once a week.
Read moreRed Curry was just okay and would be getting a three star review, but my kids ate most of their food, so there is something to be said about that.
My husband had the red curry. He usually gets his food the hottest it can be on any restaurant’s scale. If you’re like him, the 5 out of 5 is more like a 3 or 4. The taste was okay. Curry flavor was overtaken by coconut milk. There were a ton of veggies though, which was a plus.
I had the eggplant basil after the waitress honestly told me that the Pad Thai isn’t her favorite. I appreciated that because I probably would have been disappointed. The eggplant basil was good. I love how many veggies they give you. I got it with kidney beans, which is a handy option to provide.
My kids got the soy orange chicken. Don’t expect fried pieces of soy chicken. You get a ton of veggies with sliced marinated tofu. But my kids ate most of it because they liked the sauce a lot.
Dessert was mango sticky rice. It was good, but just be warned that it’s a tiny serving. Not super shareable if you love mango sticky rice like I do. But yes, I shared!
Was this the best Thai food we’ve ever had? No. But was it still yummy food? Yes.
Pros: loads of veggies, atmosphere
Cons: not authentic tasting, small dessert portion

Delicious Well Balanced Food - Edit
We visited around 5pm and it was mostly empty. The service was very quick and friendly. We ordered a salad, soup, and entree dish, all three of which were great. Spice levels were just right, and the flavors were well balanced. Everything was cooked perfectly. The tofu was a bit crispy on the outside, still soft on the inside. If in the area we will definitely come back. It was the best Thai/Vietnamese restaurant we've been to.

Bad Service - Edit
While one of the main reasons we visited red curry after a long day the Canyon was for its great reviews, we left, after sitting for 10mins only. There was one waitress for a room full of diners. After we were given the menus and decided on our meals, the waitress passed and we asked to place our order, she said one minute and left. Three times after this, the waitress passed our table, once picking up dishes from another vacant table, the two others, after taking the orders of two other tables and ignored our table or said once more, she would be back in a minute. We were dismayed. And hungry. So left. To add, the space was quiet with hushed voices (it felt a bit awkward) and the waitress made it very clear, stomping in and out of the kitchen she was not pleased at how busy the restaurant was... all together, very disappointing service and experience. We went to the restaurant next door, Criollo, with plenty of vegan options, great service, wonderful atmosphere, liveliness and an awesome Mojito, things didn't end up so badly :)

Really good. - Edit
Cozy place, friendly service. Everything we ordered came out really good and fast. It was a Saturday night, and we didn't realize we were traveling through a college town, so it was very busy.

Great food and portions - Edit
Came here for lunch on a Sunday and left very satisfied. We ordered the Pad Thai which was a little on the sweet side. Also ordered the Spicy Noodle dish which had a great flavor. Ordered some veggie rolls as and appetizer and tapioca for desert. Both were delicious, although the portions were a little on the small side (which seems like it's usually the case with appetizers and deserts everywhere). However, the portion sizes for the entrees were great, so we didn't leave feeling like we needed to finish eating somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were great. Would definitely come here again.

The place is nice, staff are friendly and food VERY good. We had Tokyo rolls (sushi with a veggies and Veganaise filling topped with quinoa), that were AMAZING. Then we had a super rich dish including a spring roll, a samosa, veggies, rice and salad. So much food, so good and inexpensive! Super recommended'

Authentic Thai, but not very gluten-free friendly - Edit
I was initially very excited to see a new vegan listing for Flagstaff that was vegan and mentioned that most dishes could be made gluten-free. This place has awesome hours too for us late-night diners. I stopped in because I am a pad thai and noodle lover, and usually can get vegan and gluten-free pad thai at many places. None of Red Thai's noodle or rice dishes can be made gluten-free, nor can any of the appetizers accept the kale chips (who wants kale chips at a Thai place? Weird...) because of the sauces they use and like most hardcore Thai chefs, they refuse to modify anything. 5 of the 6 curries can be made gluten-free, but that's it. Though it took me some time to get this answer, because the waitress thought everything except the fried rolls was gluten-free. I learned the hard way and had the pad thai and the pad woon sen. DEFINITELY had wheat, I got quite sick. The waitress later said that she was mistaken, and that there was soy sauce in my dish that contained wheat. But I can say, the noodle dishes were both very delicious and authentic, my only complaint was they needed more vegetables! I wish I didn't have to be gluten-free, because I love me some good Thai food.

a gem in flagstaff - Edit
My partner and I stopped in on the last day of our road trip, around 4:30pm on a Thursday. Seating was quick but patrons started flowing in as we were dining. It smelled so good! Service was fast and the food was delicious. You can customize most orders in terms of spiciness, what protein (beans, tempeh, steamed or fried tofu, mixed), and omissions. Most of the cooks are Thai and prepare the food very well & proper. I highly recommend the sampler plate, P.E.T, and date bites. I also thought the prices were quite good. The staff is very small but courteous. Would come again!

Black Beans or Red Kidney Beans!? OMG So Cool - Edit
The Flavors of Asia dish that I tried was really good and healthy which is hard to find at a restaurant. The Flavors of Asia came with brown rice, salad, veggie roll, and samosa wonton. I thought that would be a lot of food but the portions were good and I felt like I ate but I didn’t overdo it. I ordered the tofu as my add in but they also offer black beans or red kidney beans which is something I’ve never experienced.

Got stranded in flagstaff for a couple of days and was happy to find there were plenty of vegan options around town. Red curry vegan did not disappoint! Had the red curry and the sampler platter. I had it with tofu but they offer several protein options including tempeh. A must try for any vegan in the area!

Little Restaurant with a Big Menu - Edit
You'd need about a month to sample everything on the menu here. This is the first all-vegan Thai restaurant we've eaten in, and what a luxury it was to have so many options to choose from. I ordered the Red Curry while my husband ordered the Mussamun (their spelling) Curry. Both were superb, though we liked the Red Curry better. Members of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the serving size was just right. If we lived here, we'd definitely become regulars. The only downside is difficulty finding parking, but that's true for most downtown Flagstaff restaurants. Or maybe it's actually a plus since it forces you to walk after overstuffing yourself.
