Serves meat, vegan options available. Asian Bistro with vegan dishes including a variety of sushi rolls, noodles dishes and appetizers. Open Mon-Thu 11:00am-10:00pm, Fri-Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-10:00pm.
Waterbury doesn't have very many options for vegans, so when you find somewhere good you hold onto it for dear life.
My go-to order is always the buddhist delight, oshinko roll, and vegetable roll. They have all of the standard veg rolls as well as some unique ones that you don't see everywhere. Drunken noodles and pad thai are also good, and they're accommodating about making dishes vegan.
Service is great, the staff is always SO friendly and sweet. Great prices and good portions.
One of my favorite sushi places in the area - Edit
We order from this place for work lunches a lot. Their sweet potato roll is excellent and I also usually get avocado cucumber. If you dine in, they also have really great cocktails. Very good service. For vegetarians, they also have a great veggie roll called the Vampire Veggie roll which is BOMB.
3 years ago I attempted to eat sushi once and I couldn’t do it.
Fast forward and now being vegan of 1 year, I LIKE SUSHI!!!
I had the mango cucumber roll, avocado roll, and sweet potato roll!!
All of them had great, but very different flavors!! My fav was prob the sweet potato, but I loved how refreshing the mango cucumber one was and how fresh the avocado was in the avo roll!
Really impressed and excited to get sushi again! 🌱🖤
I adore the fact that they have more vegan options than most sushi restaurants have, but I still wish they had more. I DO NOT enjoy the fact that they removed "all you can eat," as it is what bought me there all the time. I'd give this place a whole other star if they brought that back; it'd make me feel better about the prices increasing. Although I have those complaints, they do have good food. The avocado rolls are packed, and come here almost monthly. The food has taste, and they seem to care about presentation of food.
