Whatever I got was so good - Edit
I loved the food I got here, but I will say it’s smaller portions for what you pay for. So I wouldn’t come here starving and not willing to spend a little bit. But the food is good and the staff was friendly.

Fresh food and great ambiance! - Edit
Loved this cafe! I went with my family (group of 5) Sunday afternoon. There was plenty of sitting indoors. It also had a really cute outdoor sitting area. We ordered the small nacho platter as an appetizer. I ordered the Buddha bowl for myself. The rest ordered two miso bowls, a Reuben panini and a pizza panini. My mother is pretty picky, she mentioned the Reuben panini to be the best she’s had. The nachos were ooey-gooey which I enjoyed. Portions were great size and food was tasty.

Wow! We will be back. - Edit
Traveling on a Monday we chose to stop at Real Roots for a late lunch with planned leftovers for dinner before checking into our hotel. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We were happy to find they had a dog-friendly patio because we were traveling with our little dog. It was a coolish spring day and were craving soup as an appetizer. My husband chose a cup of red lentil and quinoa chili, I chose a cup of the butternut squash soup. Both were perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The chili was topped with micro greens and a cheesy sauce, the butternut squash soup was topped with sliced scallions. We both chose the recommended Chick-un burrito sandwich and tortilla chips- a filling and delicious main.

Sweet family owned restaurant. - Edit
This place is so inviting and comfortable and the food is great. The plant based options seem to be made with such detail and love. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The cute young family runs the restaurant and makes everyone feel at home. It’s a nice place to come have a fabulous refreshing juice, coffee or healing plant based meal that leaves you feeling refreshed.

Healthy options - Edit
Loved the variety of healthy options! We got a salad, smoothie bowl, and cookie. Everything was satisfying, and the staff were super friendly. The space is super clean and inviting, and we enjoyed eating on the shaded patio. Can’t wait to go back.

Great vibe and great food and coffee! Came here several times when I was in town and loved it every time. The island hopper is awesome! Recently ate inside for the first time and the presentation of the food ups the experience even more.

Relaxing, welcoming, with variety. - Edit
They had just enough options to have variety but not too many to overwhelm you. They had so many healthful options but also had some indulgences.
Read moreWe got their Buddha Bowl, grilled pimento panini add avocado, dope beets juice, and berry island smoothie. Everything tasted delicious. Nothing was lacking. We were going to be in town all day so we ordered 2 juices to go and a sweet treat. I will say the Chocolate chip cookie ball was not my favorite and the only thing I wish I wouldn’t have gotten. The cinnamon was great though! We will be coming back!
Pros: Variety , Friendly atmosphere , Cleanliness
Cons: Chocolate chip cookie ball

I stumbled upon Real Roots Cafe while on a trip to Chattanooga. The food was amazing, tons of vegan options (and quite a few GF options), staff incredibly helpful, and the cafe is super cute!

A bit disappointing - Edit
Gosh I thought this would be my favorite vegan spot in Chattanooga, but our experience did not meet our expectations.
Read moreWhen we first arrived a little after 8 am, we were the only ones there and they didn’t have coffee! 😂 as a mom of two toddlers, who does not get much sleep- I expect coffee in a cafe upon arrival or I’m going elsewhere.
It did eventually arrive and the latte I ordered was nice. But it did take a while for them to make it and get it to me. I must say the menu did not wow us and there were limiting options for breakfast. They do have some baked goods, the lemon pound cake we tried was yum! And avocado toast which we ordered and smoothies. Those were really the breakfast-y dishes I could find. They all were good, but nothing we don’t usually make ourselves at home.
We also ordered another toast, that had balsamic dressing and some feta tofu. For me that’s more of something I’d have for lunch, but we tried it. It was a bit bizarre for me because it had tomatoes and strawberries on it. It was OK.
The family who owns/ runs it is very sweet, and they do have outside seating with a little sandbox for children which I very much appreciated. The location is nice too.
I hope to come back in a while after they are a bit more established and see if some changes are made.

In between for my preferences - Edit
We tried 4 different sandwiches
Read moreNone of them was “Wouah” or “beurk” just “ok”, “interesting”
The staff was adorable
The menu wasn’t very creative but had some variety.
The price for 2 slices of bread sandwich and 15 chips ( no other sides) felt a little too much, no presentation, no style, very basic.
The taste was not what I was looking for, but this is only my personal taste preference.
The location is super nice.
Pros: Location, Staff
Cons: Price for presentation, Creativity

New Vegan Cafe - Edit
SO EXCITED to finally try out this happy new vegan cafe! I ordered the Buddha Bowl and kombucha and was not disappointed! Although my dish came out a little monochromatic, my body loved it! So grateful to have plant based restaurants here in Chattanooga!

Tasty food, nice atmosphere - Edit
Grabbed some breakfast here and was happily surprised with the amount of options. Food was tasty and fresh. Had some issues with the service (missing an item, miscommunication in the kitchen bringing out food), but it was probably just a one off thing. Would definitely be back if in Chattanooga again.
