Lovely atmosphere, good coffee - Edit
I had a soy mocha and a brownie. The mocha was good. The brownie was a bit too rich for me, I could only eat half (luckily I had a container to take the rest with me). It's a lovely light-filled venue and staff were friendly and helpful. I'd like to try some of the savoury food another time.

Nice coffee - Edit
I wanted to try the breakfast wrap with tofu, mushrooms and onions. It was a good sized serving but I felt it lacked a little bit of flavour. The coffee was delicious and the staff were nice. I would still go back and give it another try if I lived in Sydney.

Tasty food and all vegan - Edit
I only rate this a 4/5 when it sits next to some arguable better places along Glebe Point Road. But that is a high bar, and this cafe is very good. Some of the portions are on the small side, so not the best value, but still generally delicious.

Good but not sensational - Edit
My wife and I both went for the big breakfast. It was certainly substantial: toast, scrambled tofu, tomato, mushrooms, potato, black beans, spinach leaves; but I'd expect to get filled for $20. Everything was relatively nice and fresh, but tending towards being a bit bland and dry. There was no salt on the table. If I could give 3.5 stars I would as it wasn't 4 star quality, but definitely not as bad as 3! ;-)

Cons: Not a lot of choice on the menu of you're looking

All day breakfast...except at breakfast time ? - Edit
I called in here about 7.15am looking forward to a great vegan breakfast...only to be told that the kitchen wasn't open until 8am ! I don't know if this was a once off or bad policy, however I returned for dinner as I was in the area and tried the vegan egg & bacon roll which was vegan bacon with tofu and lots of other stuff plus "chips". Everything was filling and tasty although the "chips" were little chunks of potato and not what you'd normally expect. All that with a mineral water and a choc plus peanut cookie for $20. Good value !

Real Grounded - Edit
Newly opened cafe. Very roomy with an outside garden dining area. I settled on a tofu scrambled was nice served with 2 slices of toasted spelt bread. Had a vegan strudel my first ever. Was veggie not apple. My misreading of sign. Was tasty bit salty for me. Then finished with a coffee cheese cake.

I noticed new chef. I settled on 'Big Brekky' on the plate was some sauteed potatoes, mushrooms, scrambled tofu, brown beans, some leaves, half tomato with a sprinkling of herbs, a small pottery pot with spicy tomatoes and a slice of brown bread $20 it was filling and tasty. My berry smoothie was frozen $7hmmm i had a chocolate brownie $4 was how i like it sticking to the roof of my mouth. Vegans should try this place once, twice and more.
Pros: 100% vegan, Good service, Out side seating area

Hearty vegan meals - Edit
Real Grounded knows how to make a meal that feels home cooked yet not lazy. The portions are always very sizeable and the food is always very fresh and tasty. They have plenty of options and every one I have tried has been very nice. Definitely recommend if you're in Glebe and in need of a good big meal!

Didn’t like the food - Edit
Been today for lunch and was super disappointed.
Read moreFirst: the waitress didn’t tell us about having specials (hubby founded reading on the wall); she told me that all the menu can be made gf and I wanted to order the wrap and she was like ‘oh no, this is not gf’ Then, she almost ‘throw’ the cutlery basket on our table.
Second, the food: the raw pad Thai I had was without taste, the tofu was thrown on the plate right from the box. Hubby had the sliders with chips and didn’t like the consistency of the patties and no taste of the bun.
This is their Halloween menu but I’m not sure if I should give them a second chance with the usual menu ...

Came here for a quick lunch, and 40 minutes later still no food. Waiters gave no apology and food was very basic and simple. Good price however

Promising new café - Edit
This new café has a lot of promise, but the menu needs some work: a little bit simple, and it wasn't clear that the food was vegan from the menu. The soup was tasty, but was in a teeny tiny bowl, and so my husband needed to get something else to eat an hour later. I'm hoping to try this place again in a while to see if there's more choices and if they've ironed out the menu and portion sizes. Coffee was great!

This is a vegan place 100%. Menu is concised easier to pick a dish. Not like the book type loving hut has. Organic and freshly made. Not reheated or premade like many Asian types ive been in.
