Excellent - Edit
This is Wigtown, Scottish book town’s highlight. A feminist bookshop and cafe with the vast majority of books by women. Very cute, (but powerful).

Great for a vegan pitstop - Edit
Dairy free milks available, good selection of vegan cakes (the scone was scrumptious) and a tasty vegan soup. Efficient and lovely staff, in a fabulous setting.

Lovely bookshop cafe - Edit
Lovely cafe in a bookshop specialising in books by women. We stayed for ages and enjoyed the daily nourish bowl made vegan, a cafetiere of coffee and a slice of ginger tiffin. Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and I went away with a huge pile of The Women's Press books for my collection.

Cosy and several vegan cakes - Edit
Very cosy and welcoming cafe in a bookshop predominantly about women or books by women. Their cake selection is ginormous with 3 vegan tiffins on the day I visited with friends and family. Did not look at the menu so cannot comment on if they have savoury vegan things but I believe they do. Family member said the (vegetarian) chocolate raspberry brownie was the best she had ever had ever. Several locals were coming in to buy cakes to take away to work/home.
