Best Vietnamese food - Edit
Ate here twice while in Anchorage, some of the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. The garlic tofu was amazing.

Vegan Friendly - Edit
Nice veg menu options. Tell server on front end that you are vegan and they will take care to leave out fish/oyster sauce. Good place for family dinner.

Tasty food and well versed in “vegan” - Edit
I ordered a thai tea with coconut milk to make it vegan and ended up ordering 2…. DELICIOUS. I’d never had thai tea before but holy happy cow!
Read moreUnfortunately, they don’t have a veg broth, so soup wasn’t an option, but they did have a wide array of veg menu choices of pretty decent price for what food in Anchorage typically costs.
Their menu specifically states to let the server know if you’d prefer “no animal products” in your food, and my hand-written order ticket/bill had “no animal” written by my server.
Pros: Lots of veg options, Delicious thai tea, Decent prices

Excellent Food - Edit
We were a mixed group: vegan and non-veg. Everyone raved about their dishes. Ordering was a breeze - the person taking our order was well versed in "vegan" and made sure our order didn't contain any animal products. He even confirmed that with me when I picked up the to-go items. Everything was very tasty, not over salty or over oily. They offered white or brown rice, which was nice. Prices were reasonable. It was refreshing to have several vegan options since this is not the norm at most AK restaurants. Highly recommend Ray's Place!

Garlic tofu was bomb - Edit
Big portion, tons of rice, and dank broth. Super quick food and got the job done of filling me up. The tofu was also pretty good but there wasn’t enough. It was a bit salty and just shy of 4/4. More expensive than other similar places in town.

Cons: More expensive than what I’ve seen

I went to the restaurant today (8/17/22) and specifically asked if they had veg broth, and they do not. Only chicken and beef. Triple check if you plan on ordering broth or soup!

We were looking for vegan food and read reviews for Ray's Place. We would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was superb, service friendly and fast, clean and easy to find on Google map. We arrived about 5 minutes till 5 and they were closed. At 5 sharp they turned on lights, opened door, and the place filled up immediately. Amazing.

Amazing food and service - Edit
Ray's has delicious food and the staff is fantastic. I ordered the Tamarind Tofu off of their large Vegetable Entree menu and asked if it contained fish sauce. The waitress happily said that they could easily make it vegan. My food came out just before the rest of my party and was amazing. The waitress brought me out my own personal vegan sauces for spring rolls and double-checked that I was using the right one. I felt very well taken care of.
