Had some fabulous treats at Rawsome Treats this weekend! I went with a friend who is dairy free & gluten free & we shared two little raw cakes. The Trisome (berry tart) was our favorite but we also tried, and enjoyed, the Red Velvet. They have a carrot cake and a cookies and crème cake that I will be trying next time for sure!

I got a cake today from Rawsome Treats as a gift. As such, I don't know how much it cost (though I assume it was not cheap). I do know that it was yummy, however. As might be expected of a raw, vegan cake, is a bit heartier and less super-sweet than the typical cake.

I love this place. The desserts are amazing. They are all so delicious looking. We had the Trisome and the Tiramisu and both were great. The owner is so friendly and sweet. I highly recommend. I definitely will be going back.

I had the coconut leches and it was sooo good. Even tasted a bit to me like tres leches, the soft moist texture with cake texture and the coldness. I will certainly be back.

I bought these cakes when the owner was selling them out of her apartment, and I love that she has a storefront now. They are DELICIOUS and worth the price. Whenever I go to the city I get one or two as a much-craved treat.

Best raw cakes (if you eat there) - Edit
I wanted 3 pieces for takeaway, and they insisted on frozen, should be unfrozen within 30 minutes (said the chef) or 2 hours (said the staff); luckily one piece I got unfrozen and ate within 15 minutes and it was really, really great. The other 2 pieces where half-frozen, half nearly-liquid after 2 hours, one still tasted great and creamy, the other one tasted not much of anything. So, if they brush up their physics skills or you just eat there, they might be worth all the stars, as they cakes where the best raw ones I had eaten in 8 years, well composed, very creamy.

Creamy, Decadent, and Nutrient-Rich Treats - Edit
I visited Rawsome Treats for the first time during my last trip to NYC earlier this month. I ordered the sampler, which comes with your choice of three mini treats. I went with the trisome, the matcha, and the almond butter cup. The treats totally blew me away! I've had raw items similar to these before, but the ones from Rawsome were the best I've ever had. A must-try!
