Delicious and Huge Portions - Edit
We, thankfully, split the chilaquiles and a breakfast sandwich and still had leftovers. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, and delicious food!

The service, the food, location, all of it! Will be coming here everytime I'm in Santa Barbara! I always love supporting vegan restaurants but this place not only feels welcoming and non-judgemental, it's just so good! Will be recommending it to all my friends and family!

Vegan food has been a bit hard to find in SB, but I will be coming to Rascal’s from now on when I’m in town.
Pros: Good selection , Great staff, So tasty
Cons: The hours made it a bit difficult to time a visit.

Must try - Edit
Cozy restaurant with bright interior. Had great service and the food was delicious. I had the cauliflower tacos and a coworker had the crunch wrap. Portions were large, I couldn’t eat the two tacos. Chips and salsas were quite good. recommend highly.

Best chilaquiles in SB - Edit
Really recommend going for breakfast. Everything else is really good too, but you need to try their chilaquiles and breakfast burrito.

Good and filling - Edit
Very good and filling vegan Mexican food. One of the few fully vegan places in SB! Nice interior space. They could benefit by having a few more vegan desserts.

Best food we've had in the US so far - Edit
We're a week into our trip of Pacific Coast Highway and stopped here to get some dinner. We've found everywhere to be really expensive so far, and this was really decently priced and our favourite meal so far. My husband got the chefs favourite and really enjoyed it. I got tempura cauliflower tacos - what's not to love! Would definitely be back if we ever come this way again!

Sooooo Delicious!!! - Edit
I can't recommend Rascal's more highly. We had the homemade Vegan Horchata and Jamaica, Al Pastor Burrito Bowl (perfect slight char and deliciously spiced with a poblano crema, rice, beans and veg), Las Palmas Bowl (gorgeous tofu and tiny cubes of refreshing cucumber mixed in the rice), and elote with vegan mayo and spicy crunch. The flavors and textures were playful, nuanced, and oh so tasty!

Loved it! - Edit
My husband and I had a delicious dinner at Rascal’s. Everything on the menu is vegan. We had the cauliflower tacos and the crunch wrap. Both were great, with the cauliflower tacos taking the prize. Portions are big, so we will split an entree next time and get a salad too. Highly recommend!

Huge proportions. But mediocre food - Edit
The proportions where huge! A plus since the price is on the steeper end ($18)

Vegan Mexican brunch - Edit
Usually we roll through Santa Barbara daytimes, so we were glad to see a Saturday brunch advertised. It was very enjoyable. I had the breakfast sandwich of Beyond Sausage, tofu and cheese (hold the mayo) on an English muffin. My wife had the Chilaquiles Verdes, with "fried egg", avocado, white onions. The verde sauce was amazing, wish I could buy a quart of it to take home. We got a latte from the shop a few doors down, to accompany two glazed donuts for dessert (which looked and tasted way too good to be vegan, but everything at Rascal's is vegan).

Food was decent. Food safety and vegan knowledge were not - Edit
I got esquites and churros. The esquites were tasty, but they were lukewarm when the should be hot. There wasn’t enough cheese and too much veganaise. The churros were tasty but also expensive at $12 for 6 mini churros.
Read moreThe food safety was an issue. The staff multiple times when they were carrying the food, had their thumb in the food over the edge of the bowl. They need better food handling standards.
I also inquired about specific vegan protein options and the staff I asked didn’t know what the protein options were made off and even went to ask the kitchen staff and I still didn’t get an answer about what the items were made of.
Overall I might visit again, but it wasn’t the standard I expect especially for $20 a plate.
Pros: All vegan , Flavors were decent
Cons: Expensive , Food handling not good , Unknowledgeable about vegan protein

So good - Edit
This was the best vegan restaurant we enjoyed during our time in Santa Barbara. The biggest surprise was the amazing quality of the homemade tortillas for the tacos and crunchwraps which really made the food feel unique. wish I had gone twice.

Pretty good… - Edit
I was excited to go here and had heard so much hype. It was good, but it wasn’t anything better than what I could make at home? I got the crunch wrap. It felt like it could have had more pizzazz… more cheese, sauce, etc. It mostly was like beans and lettuce in a tortilla😡but I am grateful they are fully vegan and for that, four stars! Plus I haven’t tried everything yet.

Rascals is hands-down amazing. I love everything on their menu, everything I have gotten is flavorful and also very filling. My current favorites are the Crunchwrap, Potato-chorizo tacos, and Palma Bowl. The cupcakes are super tasty as well! The new location on Haley St is super cute and very light and airy.
