Salty, interesting flavors

They make their own chickpea tofu in house! I ordered the fried tofu and the gai lan (Chinese broccoli) and made a meal out of it. The tofu was crispy on the outside and the inside was the texture of a polenta—it was yummy.

My friend ordered the mushroom noodles and while the flavor was bomb, it was super salty and eventually he couldn’t finish it. My rec would be to get a couple of dishes and share between your table, that way you vary up the flavors and don’t get caught in a salt bomb.

A fan of Rangoon

Met my buddy there who is a vegan chef and recommend this Burmese spot, not all vegan but the vegan dishes are super flavorful and delicious.

New regular stop for me

The menu is small, just a few salads and entrees, but many of them are vegan by default. Friendly staff, perfectly spiced dishes made with seasonal ingredients. I absolutely love the crispy salad and their tofu curry, but keep an eye on the specials too!

Cooked Oil Noodles

I ordered the Si Chet Khao Swe, which is Umi Organic wheat noodles with black pepper, soy sauce, crispy garlic, mustard greens, and soy-roasted mushrooms. I liked it other than it's super oily, but I later learned the name translates to "cooked oil noodles." The patio area is nice, but close to a busy street.

Pros: clearly-marked vegan options, outdoor seating

Cons: difficult to find parking
