Ramen flavor was meh

Happy to add this to a list of great vegan options in Austin

Have been several times over the years and can’t recommend enough the nu skool with a chili bomb and the hibiscus lemongrass tea.

Disappointing

Despite the overall hype the vegan options left a lot to be desired. The Vegan ramen was extremely bland. Service was also pretty spotty.

Cons: Parking is insane. , Bland food.

Yummy vegan ramen

Love their new vegan curry ramen! Add extra tofu and Beni shoga for that extra yum.

Pros: Great taste, Many vegan add-ons

Cons: Very busy during dinner time, Just one vegan appetiser

For lunch, I’ve never had to wait more than 5 mins. It can get really busy during weekends especially for dinner (15-30 mins).

Ramen East of I 35

Ramen was flavorful but a bit heavy handed on the oil.

Pros: A few vegan options , Labeled vegan, Hip venue

Cons: Food is a little heavy , Seating is at bar or community style, Outdoor seating closed

Good experience

I went there with a group of people without telling them I was vegan, and It went unnoticed. I enjoyed the food, very fast service, and polite staff. Reasonably priced in my opinion

Pros: Good food, Fast service, Polite staff

Cons: Reservation are a must

The worst ramen ever

Not even worth a 15 minute drive. Too salty and well the ramen is not good. It was pretty gross. Waste of $14

Ramen of my dreams

I’m not joking when I say I have driven from Dallas to Austin before (3 hours) JUST to have this ramen because it’s so dang good. The broth is awesome, the toppings are awesome, nothing else needs to be said. I’d eat this ramen every day if I could and never get tired of it.

Pros: Flavourfull & tasty, Great ambiance

Cons: A little pricey, Limited vegan options in comparison

The tempest is drowned by an overabundance of salt to deleterious culinary effect.

They cannot provide gluten free and vegetarian at the same time.

I came especially because I’d been sold on the fact that they could make gluten free and vegetarian food. They couldn’t offer both, and they weren’t helpful to provide me with options or food alterations. Extremely disappointed.

Try this!

They usually have a long line during peak hours, but it moves fast and is worth the wait. Vegan friendly and gluten free friendly. I love bringing my friends here for dinner

The veggie ramen with the spicy bomb (there are 3, only one is vegan so ask) is so good and a generous portion to boot! Lines can get really long so be prepared to wait if you go during prime dining hours.

Best Ramen

Their veggie ramen is the best. I always get it and add nori and extra tofu... but you really can’t go wrong! Also be sure to get their spicy edamame. It’s not very spicy, it has more of a citrus-y taste.

Best ramen ever!

I could seriously eat this every day. So fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who loves veggies and Japanese cuisine!
