Can’t go wrong

The vegan tomato ramen was good! Waiting time is very long tho… so be prepared

Pros: Good food , Cook in front of you

Cons: Long waiting time (~45 minutes)

Typical restaurant great food

You can't guess from the outside that it has a vegan ramen, so you just have to go in. Seating is very limited and we saw only locals here which I guess is a good sign. There's one clearly labelled vegan ramen, and it's delicious. A bit more veggies in or some tofu would be nice but that's really the only criticism I could have. It's tasty and cheap!

Pros: Very tasty, Locals eat here, Good for kids

Cons: Lacks protein

Single Vegan option, absolutely delicious

This is my favourite meal in the week I have been in Japan so far. Simple but rich flavours, the soba Noodles are divine and all at a reasonable price, about ¥1500 which is more than worth it.

Simple yet deep flavor

I went there last night since the wait time at every other vegan restaurant was a little too much.

The taste was not disappointing, and the eatery had a nice vibe.

However, I wish they had the option of adding tofu or something (I actually didn't even ask) since the vegan tomato ramen barely had anything in terms of protein - tomato, leaves, noodles and the broth (which is probably soy based, but unsure if that's enough protein)

Pros: Simplicity, Live cooking

Cons: Lack of protein, Single option

Five stars (if I could)

Had a great experience here. Watching the chef at work was very entertaining, and the dish itself was delicious. The tomato ramen is the only vegan option and is highly recommended. Affordable.

Limited seating capacity - I waited about 30 minutes - so keep this in mind when visiting.

The art of ramen

Beautifully presented ramen in a sophisticated setting. Great watching the chef at work. Excellent value. Restaurant behind the sliding door. Take a seat on the bench behind the diners to wait until a seat is free.

Pros: Beautiful delicious food , Slick stylish setting, chef skills centre stage, Delicious sake

Cons: Only 7 seats!

Very high quality

Great experience here! Just one vegan option so I wouldn’t return but definitely had a very satisfying dinner. There was no line when I came here but there was when I left. With only seven spots it fills up quickly!

Conveniently located in Gion, small and sleek place with open kitchen

There are about 8 seats at the counter and a row chairs behind the counter for people to wait. We probably waited 20 mins. Your group may have to split up depending on how seats become available, but since there is a hushed atmosphere you might not have talked very much anyway. The counter faces the open kitchen so you can watch the owner preparing all the food (he also does everything else in the shop as he’s the only one working there)!
There is one vegan ramen which has tomato, kelp and basil, unlike any other ramen I’ve had. ***Note, there will be cross-contamination on the when the tomatoes are grilled as the same grill is used for fish and meat!***
