NOT actually vegan - Edit
Their vegan options are falsely advertised as vegan, and they are not accommodating when this is pointed out.
Read moreAs I was ordering one of their vegan ramens (at the Long Beach location), I asked the waiter if any of the ingredients were cooked on the same surface as their meats. The waiter said that anything fried, such as the garlic and the broccolini, are fried on the same surface as their meats. I then asked if they could remove the garlic and substitute the broccolini with steamed veggies instead. The waiter said that it’d be an extra charge of $3 (this is on top of an already expensive ramen dish of $18). I pushed back and explained that I am vegan and cannot eat the broccolini and garlic, and I simply want veggies that have not been cross-contaminated with meats. The waiter said that their manager does not consider this cross-contamination, and considers the dish as is to be fully vegan. We went back and forth like this for several minutes and they would not budge. I left out of frustration.
If you are vegan, vegetarian, halal, kosher… please do NOT eat their “vegan” ramens as advertised since some of their ingredients get cooked alongside their pork, chicken, etc.
Cons: False advertising

My “Go To” ramen place… - Edit
I come here on a regular basis because their vegan ramen is solidly good. I always know I’ll be satisfied. This time I tried their limited “Creamy Truffle Vegan Ramen” which was perfect. Sometimes the truffle can be overpowering in some dishes, but this was spot on. The “Crispy Vegan Gyoza” here are out of this world as well, probably the best I’ve had. The dipping sauce that comes with them is amazing. The service is always good and they have outside patio seating where they accommodated me and my dog. Very nice restaurant.

Vegan spicy ramen was delicious - Edit
I love that I finally found a ramen place with clearly labeled vegan items and multiple ramen items on the menu. It’s also ramen that isn’t a clear soy sauce based soup packed with vegetables. Rakkans ramen was flavorful and the noodles tasted and felt homemade. They also had vegan appetizers!

My new favorite ramen spot - Edit
The long wait to get seated due to popularity was well worth it! I tried the vegan (shiitake mushroom) buns and vegan spicy ramen, both were amazing. The ramen broth had a wonderful creaminess and you could really taste all the fresh ingredients and healthy noodles (I believe they were gluten free). Not sure I’ll ever have a reason to go to a different ramen spot! #Veganuary

Best vegan ramen - Edit
I find their Ramen to be some of the best I’ve had (better than Marufuku’s vegan one) and love that there are two different vegan broth options. Things are clearly labeled. It had several good appetizers too.

Pros: Clear vegan options
theNumberOfTheBeast
Nothing an animal corpse dresser does after financing hitmen to kill abused and tortured animals is vegan. You did not eat vegan ramen. You ate plant based ramen, because while there are limited options of how we can source our food origins, dining out is an exercise in deciding between an endless number of all vegan restaurants or not which can be patronized for dining entertainmen or not. Just face it, this is a luxury, if it were necessity, you'd be cooking and eating at home. If you're not doing the most you can do to support veganism and vegan businesses ask yourself, what is your excuse? Simply because you don't wish to be alienated socially? When my friends refuse to dine at a vegan restaurant with me, I'd stand up for the animals and I tell them that this is not a joke to me, and veganism isn't an option to me. I tell them to consider it as if my religion and if they can't respect my beliefs they can go eat rocks or dead bodies without me. People will honor you and your beliefs with awe when you hold them with conviction. Veganism is truth, violence is wrong and to settle for financing fusty animal abusers because of peer pressure is absurd to me and would sound absurd to any animal if you were to explain to them why you were tolerating financing the factories of their death while calling yourself a vegan if vegansim means active boycott of all animal abuse for any reason.

Great, not amazing - Edit
It is always nice to have the menu labeled clearly and also have options other than just a soup or entree. The dumplings and the spicy miso ramen were both quite tasty!
Read moreThe service could be improved a bit, however. I had ordered extra noodles with my soup and didn't actually get them until 10-15 mins after we got the ramen at the table, which was disappointing.
Still, if you're in the area, this place is certainly worth trying out.
Pros: Menu clearly labeled, Tasty food, Pleasant aesthetic
Cons: Service could be improved slightly

Love this place! - Edit
Love the vegan yam ramen with a side of spicy miso so I can make it have just the right amount of spice. My husband gets the spicy yam vegan but it can be too spicy .Also love the mushroom buns! Service is super fast. Just be sure to specify you want vegan.

Ramen was decent - Edit
So great that they have clearly labeled vegan ramen. A few additional vegan appetizers as well, including vegan dumplings/ potstickers. It wasn’t revolutionary by any means, but totally decent
