Some members of staff are less than helpful - Edit
I have been to Rajpoot a couple of times - food is nice, pretty standard Indian restaurant and I have had a very helpful member of staff advise on vegan options (gent with glasses). However, we double and triple checked that we could get a vegan korma again (we had been told it was possible and ordered it in the past) and the gent said it would be fine over the phone and in person. When we came to order it was a different guy and despite it being my boyfriend that actually asked for a vegan korma, the waiter got quite aggressive towards me saying that there was no way of making a korma without cream - I just said okay and he kept going on and on. It was humiliating as everyone in the restaurant was watching and i was reduced to tears. The gent that we initially spoke to overheard and interjected to tell the waiter to just tell the chef to use coconut milk. No apology, just oh right ok. I really wanted to leave as I was so embarrassed and upset but just stayed in my seat as we had ordered and I didnt want to make more of a scene. When our food came out it was completely different to what we had received when we last ordered it so wonder whether we just got a regular korma with dairy the first time we ordered?
We ended up here because the Bean Inn was closed and the Mex (nearly next door) was sooo busy. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised. There are no marked vegan options on the menu, but as soon as we asked the waiter for vegan meals, he was very ambitious to point out options or to suggest meals that can be made vegan on request, and he also discussed this with the chef. We felt very "safe" in that respect, which is not always the case. The food itself was delicious as well.
The place was packed (as was everything in St. Ives that night, partly due to the fact that other restaurants were closed), so we were lucky we got a table. Because it was so full, it was loud and it took quite a while to arrive, but this is normal when the restaurant is that busy.
Delicious takeaway food, expect long wait time - Edit
Ordered a takeaway from this restaurant.
We tried calling when it opened at 530 as had read reviews for long wait times and it even says on the leaflet to expect at least 45mins-1hour wait. We couldn't get through so took a walk there to order in person.
They were happy to create a mushroom saag balti for me (not on the menu) which was delicious. The saag aloo and bhajis were also very nice.
They had run out of chapatis which was a shame (their naan has milk in), and also note that they do a reduced menu during peak season.
We were given a 1hr 15min delivery time, which came on time.
Great curry - try all of the vegetable specials - Edit
The staff were able to guide us through the vegan options. We had the vegetable Tawa (the speciality) we asked for it extra spicy (because we like our food extra spicy). It arrives on a hot skillet and is utterly delicious. We also had the Nawabi Kocho Aavaz (an unusual and delicious green vegetable curry) and the Bon Bujon (a mild chickpea curry) The portions were big and delicious. We had plain rice (only vegan option) and chapatti. Not the cheapest curry we have every had, but we would definitely recommend to vegans and vegetarians.
This was the only place open late for dinner so we decided to give it a go. We ordered their dinner for 2 which ended up being a lot of food - enough for 4 people to eat. The food was mediocre. All the curries tasted the same and had the same veggies in them. We boxed the food for the next day but had to throw it away since it smelled bad. The service was okay. The place was very noisy with other customers talking loud and drinking beer. Find another place to eat at, unless you have no choice like us.

Pretty standard food - Edit
Fairly typical Indian restaurant of the more greasy variety! Not particularly vegan friendly , nothing out of the ordinary
