Great breakfast stop

The thick wedge of vegan coffee cake tastes great with morning coffee. The vegan breakfast burrito is wonderful if you prefer something on the savory side.

Pros: Delicious vegan options , Reasonably priced , Friendly service

Cons: Limited seating

Yummy fresh pastries

Pros: soooo tasty. Flakey, “buttery” pastry was sooo delicious, couldn’t even tell they were vegan. Friendly staff.

Cons: got 3 small items for $18…what?! 2 peanut butter cups $3, 1 small chocolate bar $6 and a small pastry (filled with mushrooms and vegan cheese) for $ 5.50

Only some staff wore masks.

Would come back to try more of their pastries.

Pros: All pastries are vegan , Mushroom provolone pastry UH-MAZE-ING

Cons: Really pricey , Oily croissant/pastry (but soooo good)

Vegan friendly spot

This store & eatery has been here for decades and was previously named Rainbow Acres but under different ownership than the one on Washington Blvd. I've been here a few times and just got to try their vegan baked goods (chocolate crossiant and blueberry muffin) this week. Here's my Marigold Merchantile review / update.

It's a small health food store with a food service counter. There are a few tall seats at the counter for eating in addition to small tables outside. They serve vegetarian and vegan friendly options, including veggie sandwiches and fresh juices and smoothies. There are also vegan baked goods but they sell out if you go late in the day. It's a good place to grab a bite when you are in the area. Eat your food at the counter or out front, or take it home. You could also stock up on some vegan groceries and snacks or get whatever vitamins you need.

Pros: vegan baked goods, independently owned

Lots of vegan options

This is a natural market that has been around for a long time. There’s a deli and juice bar and they have a decent vegan selection. :-)

Great place, Great food, Great staff=)

My girlfriend and I really enjoy the Vegan options here at Rainbow Acres. Just yesterday (05-18-2013) my girlfriend and I went to Rainbow Acres to take food to go so we could smuggle it into the movies. I ordered the Veggie Deluxe sandwich with a side of brown rice and lentils. The food was incredible. We ordered two carrot juices to go as well and they were so sweet and so refreshing, this place will be getting a lot of our business.

Pros: Selections, Price. , Quality.

Cons: Small. , Lunchtime crowds.

little store

Its a nice little Natural Health Food store with a deli. They do vegan Un-Tuna and Tofu Burgers, fresh juices. They aren't really raising the bar with anything, just basic, so if that's what you're into! They seem friendly. You get your ticket and pay at the counter.

Try the deli soups

This store is divided into 2 sections with the deli counter at one and market at the other. The deli is busy during lunch hours, but the service is fast. The menu (not 100% veg) consisits of simple foods like veggie burgers, sandwiches, and salads (nothing fancy). For lunch yesterday I ordered a taro burger and a peasant soup (vegan). The soup was hearty and delicious, but the burger was just a frozen patty heated and placed with some sprouts on wheat buns. I also got some apple chips and pretzels from the market, so that was convenient.

Pros: small & cozy, outdoor seats available, nice people
