Not a good experience! - Edit
We ate at Raasa on a Wednesday evening, two days after Christmas. We did not have a good experience.
Read moreWhen the waiter initially came to take our order, I explained I was vegan and asked if a dish was vegan or not. He said he would check and came back a few minutes later saying it wasn’t. We then had a detailed discussion on what on the menu was and wasn’t vegan and we ordered several vegan items based on that discussion, plus some non-vegan ones for my wife and daughter. It took almost 15 minutes for our appetizer and another 30 minutes for the rest of our food to be brought out by another waiter, and there were not that many customers to explain that long wait.
When I asked him which dishes were the vegan ones, he said none were and asked if I had requested vegan!
Then the manager came over and I explained what happened. He said the waiter was a temp because his regular waiters were on vacation. Then he took one of the non-vegan dishes (his choice, not ours) and said he would make me Chana Masala instead (again, his choice). He lightly apologized in the next couple of interactions.
When the check came, there wasn’t even a slight adjustment for the unsatisfactory experience. And the manager didn’t come over and say something like “please come back again so we can make it right for you.”
The menu also does not indicate what is vegan or can be made vegan, which could have avoided this situation.

Read moreWe do love their vegan options though - we order everything on the menu that’s vegan and feast! My personal favorite is Chana Masala. (I am picky about my Chana and theirs scores high!) They understand what it means to be vegan and are happy to accommodate.

Very tasty - Edit
This restaurant is dry nice. The staff is friendly. They did their best to accommodate me. I was ale to choose the curry I wanted. They made it Vegan by using coconut milk instead. I had the tofu Korma. It was delicious. My husband said the meal was “morish” which means the more you eat and the more you want.
