Good - Edit
One of the staff speaks English very well. There's a very wide range of pre-prepared food on display. There does not seem to be any ad hoc cooking happening, but I suspect that is just the nature of some of these places. The food was tasty and cheap and the place is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere.

First choice - Edit
My favorite restaurant in Udon for years. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Except some holidays. Very clean. Delicious selection of pre-cooked dishes. In addition, papaya salad, noodle soup, springrolls and kanom jeen (rice noodles on savory sauce) are served daily. Large selection of mock meat protein. Perfect to take away to eat in the room later. Relaxing coffee shop with vegan options nearby. Recommended hotels in the area: Civilize (no pool), Ban Bua, Pannarai.

Friendly Service and delicious tofu - Edit
The typical Jay place experience. You got a buffet and rice, that you can mix for cheap prices between 40-60 Baht. For 20 Baht you get delicious tofu. Got a free soup as well and there is free water.
Read moreThe service was very friendly and talkative. Especially speaking some English which is a bit rare to find in Udon Thani.
Pros: Friendly Service, Cheap and delicious, Good Tofu!
Cons: Not entirely vegan

These are the correct M-F hours. Weekends vary, must contact them beforehand on Facebook to find out - Edit
The listing here previously said said open every day 6 am to 7 pm. Instead, they are open 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday. On weekends, they are usually open *either* Saturday or Sunday, but not both, as the owner goes to some Buddhism classes during the weekends. You have to contact them via their Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/Jnee.vegetarian before the weekend to confirm when they will be open.
Read moreTheir vegan options are several and fantastic. There is a glass case in front with trays of different main and side dishes. There is one woman who speaks English. But even if she is not there, you can point. I tried a little of everything vegan because I was curious and wasn't disappointed by anything, although the stand-alone tofu was a little dry, even with the tasty sauce that comes with it. It was only 130 Bhat for everything. Incredibly inexpensive

Traditional Thai/Isaan Vegetarian - Edit
Typical Thai vegetarian open air restaurant. However this one is big and roomy with plenty of seating. Order dish up from various precooked items or Thai Noodle soup (kwaitiao) or get something cooked to order. The owner is lovely and the staff are so kind. Cheap and very good.

Great food and small store - Edit
Got here half an hour before closing so most of the food was gone already. I took my pick from what was left and it tasted really good. They also sell a lot of prepackaged foods made from tofu and mock meats such as canned curries, vegetarian floss, crispy bits, and much more.

Wonderful place - Edit
I just had dinner there for the past two days and am very happy to have found this place. Staff is so friendly and kind, and the food tasty. Good atmosphere in a restaurant. I felt like in a safe haven in otherwise busy city.
