A farm that is a sanctuary for animals and for bio diversity with organic food production. There are two available buildings: an ancient stone farmhouse-type guesthouse with modern comforts, and a restored old barn cottage. Upon request will prepare vegetarian/vegan meals for the guests. Open to visitors only with prior reservation.

Compassion and care at every turn - Edit
Quinta das Águias is an incredible haven in Northern Portugal for humans and nonhuman animals alike. You can stay at the sanctuary, learn about saving animals, as well as plant biodiversity. The owners are incredibly dedicated, kind and humble. They provided freshly baked bread and absolutely delicious food with ingredients grown on the property. I've left feeling so relaxed and inspired, I know this visit will stay with me for a lifetime.

This is more than a place to visit to find peace this is a beautiful project to help animals in need and transform their lives with love and compassion,the owners and hosts where Ivone and Joep two extraordinary people doing a hard task that is promote animals rights and vegetarianism in the north of Portugal that alone is a massive challenge and they are doing an excellent job.
