This place is such a great addition to the vegan scene in Nagoya. I had okonomiyaki and it was so good! The owner is from Kansai which is the region where okonomiyaki originated so she said she of course needs to have a good okonomiyaki! Especially if you are a vegan/vegetarian tourist in Nagoya, I really recommend this, you won't find vegan okonomiyaki anywhere else and it's such a classic Japanese dish! My friend got tonkotsu ramen which he said was great and he also said the karage was best he ever had (and he's not vegan!). The owner is also very sweet and speaks great English. Check it out!!!

So I went here Saturday and was blown away by the food. I never tasted any vegan food in Nagoya that can beat it. Not only that but the owner and her husband are extremely awesome people. The best way to get a reservation is through their Facebook messenger.

Tasty food, high price - Edit
Food was the tasty and friendly service. However tiny portions for a high price point. Each person has to buy a drink (cheapest 500) and group pay a table charge 400 for sitting there. Expensive meal and still hungry after.

Awesome little Vegan Restaurant - Edit
This place was one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Japan. It's a small place with a great vibe, incredibly friendly staff that were up for a chat. The spicy hot pot was absolutely delicious. Just make sure you pre-book on their website. Or you can call them since the owner speaks English. Will be returning next time I'm in Nagoya for sure.

Queen's Healthy Diner's dishes and drinks are simply the best gift you can give to your mouth and stomach. Delicious, Healthy and Guilt-Free food is all I need when I'm hungry and this Bar Diner never disappoints me.
Read moreI recommend making a reservation in advance for this small business in order to avoid any delays. There's a table charge which is much cheaper than most places I've eaten at and the experience overall is worth it.
Go there, enjoy yourself and support it so they can continue to give us this beautiful service.

It was 2,300yen.
I don’t understand why people says this store is expensive.
I went other vegan restaurant in Nagoya and it’s famous store and was not delicious and food was small and expensive.
Queen’s drink is also cheaper then other store.
Pros: All vegan., Owner is a vegan., Hot pot is delicious and big!

Wish I could’ve left a 5 star review... - Edit
My partner and I really wanted to like this place, we even booked a hotel around the corner anticipating we would visit multiple times during our stay in Nagoya, but sadly it didn’t live up to our expectations.
Read moreReasons I didn’t love it:
Tiny Space; I understand space is at a premium in Japan, especially for something as niche as a vegan restaurant. But this place was more of a bar that they crammed a couple of tables in. We were seated right on the end of the bar near the entry and so we had people walking behind us anytime they came or went. Again, standard for a lot of izakaya in Japan but I was under the impression this place was a “restaurant”.
Slow Service; it’s mostly run by the one person so I expected meals to take little longer, but we waited almost 40 minutes for spaghetti and there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time.
Expensive; As another reviewer mentioned, there is a table charge of ¥400 and a one drink/person minimum (not uncommon in Japan). Drinks were about ¥500 for a soft drink/juice and ¥600 for an alcoholic beverage, from memory. That means you could be close to ¥2000 for two people before you order any food. So unless you were planning on getting a drink anyway, it can add up quickly.
Small Portions/Quality; I don’t mind paying more than average if the food is better than average or at least filling, but the pizza was smaller than average and tasted pretty average (good they had vegan cheese though, the other places we found in Japan that do vegan pizza is without cheese at all). The chargrilled “chicken” was actually pretty delicious, (although half was faux meat the other half was mushrooms) but just a small portion given the price. We didn’t order the burrito, but we saw someone else eating one and it looked quite small too.
After the pizza and sides we also ended up ordering the mince sauce spaghetti because we still weren’t full. It was a large serve but disappointingly the sauce to pasta ratio was way off, so ended up with dry spaghetti at the end.
The service was great, but because the owner is so busy on her own, it doesn’t give you much chance to interact with her, which is often a highlight of smaller places like this.
Maybe we went on a bad night? Maybe we ordered the wrong meals? Maybe our expectations were too high? I’ll let you decide.
Pros: Lots of options
Cons: Expensive, Small space, Long wait for food

Comfy and Yummy - Edit
I’m a vegetarian from the US. It has been pretty difficult to find healthy and vegan at the end of a difficult day. My favorite place to find amazing food and relax in a comfortable environment is at Queens. The owner is especially sweet and an amazing cook. I definitely recommend.

The Most Delicious Vegan Food I've Ever Tasted!!! - Edit
My friends and I some bars that have vegan options in Nagoya but they didnt have much to offer, just salads and a bunch of small dishes (LMAO) and got charged 600 yen for table charge with nothing given. Luckily we found Queen's Healthy Diner, they had a 400 yen table charge and gave us delicious and freshly made appetizers (now, that's more like it.)
Read moreWe apologized to the owner that we didn't want to drink any alcohol, but the menu had a nice selection of refreshing juices and soft drinks (Which was absolutely fine said the owner).
The Soy meat was much bigger than the other vegan spots we went to in Nagoya and super delicious as well. The Pizza and Pasta were so big that we couldn't finish them all. But the owner wrapped up the leftovers and gave them to us. (Now that's what I call good service).
Definitely coming back with more people next time!!!
Pros: Great food, Good sizes, Fair prices

Super good food! Sadly, a bar with a table charge/forced drink - Edit
**Edit the table charge info is on the website, not Happy Cow!**
Read moreWe made a reservation by website, (Google translate is your best friend,) and then went to the wrong hotel and had to push back our reservation. Luckily, the owner replied via Facebook messenger and was super understanding and helped us out! We got A LOT of food, chips & guac, karaage, and two pizzas! Sadly, we had to pay 400 yen table charge and had to buy drinks, so close to 1500 yen just to eat here, before also having to buy an appetizer (which we planned to buy anyway)
So, all in all we had some really good food and it was super nice, but the extra 1500 yen could have been better spent on us buying some takeout, like we had planned but instead we had to buy drinks. (We don't drink alcohol and just wanted to get some food)
We spent 8750 yen😬 but we were very full!
Pros: All vegan
Cons: No info on table/drink/app charge on HC

Happy Cow is not a restaurant's official website!!! - Edit
Queen's Healthy Diner is one of my favorite stores to eat at. I go there often and I am never disappointed at the service, food quality and/or prices.
Read moreI've come to know this bar diner and it's owner a bit better and I must say she is doing a great job at giving us something that is truly difficult to find in Japan.
The owner usually works alone in this small shop. Even when it's open, it is possible that all seats can be filled or reserved. So I recommend doing what I do and call before going to this fantastic spot. The owner speaks ENGLISH too.
The people who wrote "Closed or Not Opened for no Reason" obviously didn't think to call to find out whether it was opened or even check the actual restaurant's Official Website (Which is available in several languages and would have the most accurate info).
P.S. Call and reserve your seats, don't just try to walk in, if you really want to eat here.

The owner of this restaurant has a lovely variety of vegan food and we struggled to make a choice! We finally decided on pizza and pork style ramen. It was delicious! We felt so welcome and enjoyed chatting whilst she made the food in front of us from scratch. Her husband was there and all of us chatted over drinks and felt so at home here😄Would highly recommend - everything we had was delicious including some free samples of hot sauce and soy custard pudding! Thank you for being so kind - this is a must visit for vegans visiting Nagoya :)
