Best Grocery/Deli in Northeast Queens - Edit
NOTE: Entire grocery/healthfood store hours are as follows: M-Sat, 8am-8pm; Sun, 8am - 7pm. The Deli counter, which has fresh, hot food 7 days a week, as well as juices, etc. closes at 4:30pm every day - they offer whatever is left between 4-4:30 at a huge discount - still fresh!
Read moreThere is a large and comprehensive health and supplement section with tremendously helpful staff to answer any questions. Personally, I like to make it a point to walk here from where I currently live, so I can also get my steps in at the same time (approximately 2.5 miles each way.)

Feels Rundown and Pricey - Edit
I will always have a special place in my heart for Queens Health Emporium. Twenty-years ago I gave up meat (vegan soon after) and a friend took me on a tour of this place to show me what vegans could eat. I learned what tempeh was, what seitan was, how to substitute things and what vegan options there were (about a billion less than today).
Read moreI went there yesterday for the first time in a long time and their produce selection has grown a bunch and looked great.
Their hot counter looked blah to me, but I did not taste it, so I cannot review it. Maybe it tasted a hundred times better than it looked.
Their selection of products is huge, but for whatever reason they did not have a few things I wanted. The prices were higher than a lot of other small independent health food stores and the place just had a bit of a rundown feel to it. I will say the two people I interacted with that worked there were super nice, but I just didn't feel the same as I did when I used to go there regularly.
Pros: Large Selection, Friendly Staff
Cons: High Prices, Could Use Some Remodeling

Great selections - Edit
This store has so many great options! Even in the organic supermarket products, and beauty supplies! My only complaint is the price- definitely not the cheapest store.

Fresh Organic Produce! - Edit
Terrific little supermarket - I was very impressed by the large selection of beautiful and fresh organic produce. I was able to find everything I wanted here, including vegan cheese and vegan baked goods. There's a lovely selection of vegan food for takeout in the back - I'll be going back to try it.

What a selection! - Edit
This place is veg friendly. I think they have meat and organic produce here, among the veggie and vegan items. There is a deli where you can buy ready made food. They have a lot of veggie and vegan items. My favorite find here is the vegan alfredo sauce. You could easily spend a few hours here: there's the deli; there's a vitamins/supplements section; a refrigerated/frozen section with vegan cheese, vegan cream cheeses, vegan sour cream, vegan ice creams; pastas; sauces; protein bars; etc etc etc!

Very Cozy, Large Variety Health Food Store - Edit
This place has Everything! But not 100% vegan or vegetarian they still carry meat and fish product. A little on the pricey side but they do carry many hard to find items, which is great if you don't have time to travel to Whole Foods in Manhattan. The best part is that they accept EBT/Food Stamps! :)
Read morePros: Variety, Nice layout, Accepts Food Stamps
Cons: Prices not Commensurate w/ local market

No one ever said it wss 100% vegan or vegetarian. There are people that eat meats and fish that enjoy organic foods and health products. You people are always so selfish, just thinking about yourself.
