Filling & Enough for 2 People - Edit
I’ve been here a few times and I love the food. The veggie platter option is enough for two people to split and it’s so filling. Plus the injera is amazing. I always recommend this place for people to try. The tea is also very great

Pretty good - Edit
We are a big fan of Ethiopian food and have eaten it in many different states and cities.
Read moreWe decided to give this place a shot. It was good. Not the best Ethiopian food we’ve had but not bad by any means.
My boys really enjoyed the sambusas! Like that they had a veg and meat option. I also appreciated that they weren’t spicy and my kids had zero issues eating them.
We did the vegetarian 8 platter for dinner. Pretty good.
As mentioned before, we’ve had better but this was a friendly spot with outdoor seating. We left full.

Try new things - Edit
My boyfriend and I came here about a year and a half ago, because I got a Groupon. Our waiter was so nice and helpful. He let me know of what was vegan and brought me out a bunch of vegan samplers. The food was to die for. I never had Ethiopian food before and we were pleasantly surprised.

Friendly service and excellent food - Edit
Clean, quiet, calm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Food was outstanding. Hubby (omni) had the lamb and I (vegan) had the veggie combo #4. All the food was delicious and we struggled to clean our plates (big portions). If you like things spicy ask for hot sauce it’s so good! We will be back the next time we are in Tampa.

Vegan Ethiopian Food in Tampa - Edit
What a find! Vegan Ethiopian food in Florida!
Read moreThe friendly staff and exotic ambiance of the restaurant (love the wall-sized painting of Haile Selassie ) made us feel right at home. There was an entire page in the large menu dedicated to “Vegetarian” which actually are vegan choices. My wife chose Combo #4 while I ordered Combo #6, and along with the Injera, we had more than enough food. Queen of Sheba has become a must every time we visit the area.
Pros: An entire page of vegan choices, Friendly service, Reasonable prices

Rat ran across dining area. Kitchen staff killed it in front of a crowded room of diners. Was pretty horrifying!

Delicious! And fun food to eat -- because you can eat it without utensils (eat with your hands). The people who own it and work here are SO nice too -- so a total pleasure. They will, upon request, make totally teff bread to pick the food up with, if you'd rather not have bleached flour. Lots of vegan options!

love this place - Edit
Happy Cow doesnt let me give this place 5 stars, as it serves meat, but it fully deserves 5 stars, or more. In Ethiopia, for religious reasons, they are vegan for half the calendar year, so the cuisine is very, VERY vegan-friendly. Try the 8 variety combo platter. It's filling, fabulous, reasonably-priced, and authentic. Desserts are divine. Vegan curries totally yummy. I just LOVE this restaurant!!!

My Favorite Restaurant Since 2012 - Edit
My whole world changed upon eating here! I could eat the buticha with injera everyday... the lentil sambussa and azifah appetizers are also amazing.
Read moreI can never decide on just one entree, because the flavors of the mild dishes (cabbage, yellow split peas, carrots and potatoes...) go SO well together with the spicy dishes (red lentils, mushrooms, shero...). So, I always end up ordering combo #8 and they usually let me choose my dishes. I would be happy with any of their dishes, excepts beets, I hate beets. I always order two buticha apps since I like to eat that with every bite.
I have never been disappointed with my meals or service, eating in or ordering it for take out.
My boyfriend and I LOVE Queen of Sheba!
Pros: Quiet Atmosphere and Outdoor Seating!, Very filling and I always have leftovers!, Entire vegetarian menu is vegan
Cons: They took away my FAVORITE fried chickpea dish , Tampa location only. Come to St. Pete!!, Meat is on the menu

Food was great, service was slow - Edit
The food was delicious (I had the veg combo #1) and the prices were very reasonable, however, the service was *very* slow that night.
Read moreWe arrived at 6pm. There was one table of a mother and daughter, and our table. After we arrived another couple arrived. There was 1 waitress. While I can't say it ever got truly busy, I can say that she never checked back with us after the initial "How's everything?" never asked us if we wanted more water. After we were clearly finished with our food, she never came back to see if we needed boxes.
At this point 2 more groups came in, one group of 4 and one group of 5 and they sat at the back of the place, those seemed to take up her time. This was about 6:30. My friend and I were done by now, we were looking at our watches, commenting that it was relatively early. By 7pm, though we were still talking, the waitress still hadn't checked on us, when we would try to get her attention, she never did seem to make eye contact with us, she simply ghosted to the back areas of the eatery.
At 7:15 we had to verbally signal her to get us boxes, and to ask for the check. She then didn't remember them for another spate of time, we finally got out of the establishment at 7:44. The times are known because I made note. I would come back for the food, but the service was pitifully slow. Need more help in there.
Pros: Excellent food, good value
Cons: slow service

A must for vegans in Tampa - Edit
This place offers vegans a wonderful variety of tastes and flavors. My husband and I shared the vegan platter of 8 for two people and couldn't decide which of the eight were more delicious. We loved the collards, lentils, mushrooms, and root veggies--a lovely variety of textures and tastes. Such a rare treat to find delicious vegan meals served with grace and hospitality for a reasonable price. We'll be back and recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tampa.
