An Alice in Wonderland-themed tea room that offers tea and bites. The vegan tea menu includes apricot rosemary and chocolate cranberry scones, and a three-tiered cake stand with savory and sweet bites. Savory items include mushrooms topped with Queen Anne’s Lace; a golden sweet potato butterfly (marinated sweet potato atop a butterfly cookie); English cucumbers sandwiching roasted red pepper hummus with safflower petals; and farfalle pasta with artichokes, olives and tomatoes. Sweet items include bunny cream puffs, fresh berry fruit tarts, cacao panna squares with gold flakes, raspberry jam cookies, playing card shortbread cookies and checkerboard slices. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-4:00pm.

High tea fit for a queen

I was so impressed by the thought and details put into the vegan high tea menu at Queen of Hearts. There were sugar cubes resembling dice, sweet potato butterflies, tiny treats that looked like the backs of playing cards, checkerboard shortbread and rabbit cream puffs filled with lemon curd. The apricot rosemary and cranberry chocolate scones are fresh baked and served warm with a couple jams and an herb spread served in little heart shaped platters. Each person gets a choice of two loose leaf teas. The service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and my friend and I enjoyed photos afterwards with the props, hats and heart shaped glasses, provided in a separate small room/mini gift store.

Pros: Delicious and detailed sweet and savory bites, Friendly service, didn’t feel rushed , Prepaid reservations include tax and tip

Cons: Unassuming strip mall location , Plastic flower decorations , Better if 100% vegan instead of vegan friendly

Thank you so much for adding the listing and the detailed review! I’ve been wanting to do tea again.
