Worth a visit - Edit
Gruff staff and the questionable cleanliness had me on edge a bit (the restroom had a covid-era poster showing how to wash one’s hands— sadly, no soap was provided with which to wash.)
Read moreStill, I enjoyed my meal here. The “normal” hot pot didn’t have much flavor, but that’s where the four different dipping sauces (..is that what they are?) come in handy. The free tea was delicious and it was reasonably priced.

Vegan hot pot - Edit
I ordered the vegan sashimi which were really nice, and hot pot with rice. I took the regular one so it was a little bland for my taste, I'll go for a spicy one next time. But it was very good, with a lot of veggies!

We didn't get what we ordered - Edit
We were in the area and looking for something to eat, opened happy cow and found this restaurant.
Read moreWe got the English menu, pointed out what dishes we wanted, and received (at least 1, not sure about the other) the wrong food... we both ordered rice dishes, but got one hot plate noodles instead. The other rice dish had some faux fish which neither of us ordered, so thinking that one was also not exactly what we ordered. We tried talking to them about it but they speak little English and we couldn't get them to switch it for the food we actually ordered.
Because you pay in advance there's not much you can do 🥲. We ate the food, and while it wasn't bad, would've loved to try what I had actually ordered lol.

Nice food - vegan options - Edit
Has English menu. Vegan options are hot pot or noodle soup. Reasonable price, tasty food, popular spot in a busy shopping area. Pay at the counter to order. Help yourself to tea and pickles.

Very delicious with clear menu - Edit
The menu here clearly labels what is vegetarian and what is vegan and there is also an English menu available. While the staff didn’t speak much English, the fact that we could point to the things written down worked absolutely fine.
Read moreI’d highly recommend the stinky tofu and the curry noodle soup with oolong! The stinky tofu tasted almost cheesy and had a nice spice level to it, aromatic but not burning, and the noodle soup was delicious. The broth was thick and rich with flavour, the noodles had a satisfying bite, and all the elements, the veggies and the many types of tofu, were well balanced in quantity and taste. I’d also say the noodle soups came in very big portions!
To the side of the room there is free black tea, hot and cold, and some condiments to choose from.
I had a great time and it looked busy with locals of all ages!
Pros: Clear menu of vegetarian and vegan, Good prices , Delicious food

Buonissimo! - Edit
Tutto davvero delizioso, prezzo basso. Ci tornerò!

Amazing - Edit
Simple and clear menu. One side vegan the other side vegetarian with pictures. You tick the boxes on the menu with a dry wipe marker and pay when ordering. Free self service hot and cold tea. This is the sort of place you eat at every day. The name does not appear to be the the same as listed so might be confusing but if you check the pictures on here you will get the right place. It is described as a buffet but it is more a order from the menu place. The people who give this place a low score should look at the quality of the food and the prices. I think this place has got it right, they offer a small fixed menu of good food at a good price. The menu is easy and clear and in English with descriptions so you know you are not going to accidentally bite into anything you don't like. I love that you sit with others as I have met some lovely people here.

Much smaller vegan menu than vegetarian, mostly hotpot and noodle soups. Had the kimchi and curry hotpots, very tasty. Authentic, local restaurant.

Very bland, tastless - Edit
It’s lively and you may find yourself seated next to strangers which is fun/interesting, but food wise it was so bland and not worth filling your stomach over with so many other options available.

Affordable, nice, but mock meats aren’t vegan - Edit
This was a nice local place, but not quite as exciting for vegans as none of the mock meats are vegan. It’s a shame as you can see all the dishes coming out sizzling and they look good, wish there were 1-2 vegan fake meats too. There is an English menu with clearly labeled vegan and vegetarian dishes.

The vegan sashimi - yum!!!!! - Edit
Cheap and cheerful little place in the thick of the Ximen pedestrian village. We tried a soup and hotpot plus stinky tofu and the sashimi - the latter was the pick of the bunch but it was all good.

Friendly service, clearly marked vegan options - Edit
I got a sizzling plate of spaghetti with French fries, tomato sauce and black pepper sauce. It looks like kids’ food, but it tastes delicious! Hit the spot for me!! Clearly marked vegan and lacto ovo dishes. The complimentary soup was actually really good too. It has an old diner feel to it, and staff are friendly and prompt.

Overall good for the family - Edit
I liked that they have a vegan portion of the menu and that they had spaghetti for my picky daughter. The veggies and tofu in the hot pot were really good, but the broth didn't taste like much. We all enjoyed it though.

Tasty deep fried goodness - Edit
This place had a nice range of sauces. The deep fried fake chicken and finger/drumstick in the pictures here, were great. They were so good we got another batch take away for breakfast and were still good cold.
