Superb vegan food but so much more

The café is small and comfortable with a log fire. A climbing wall for children is just challenging enough to offer a sense of achievement. The vegan menu, clearly displayed, has a few non vegan items. A couple of bicycles, imaginatively pinned to a wall suggests the attraction of exercise.

Friendly dogs are welcome and, in a holiday area where owners often bring their dogs, adds to the attraction of PWNC. The ancient building, I was told, was once the old Assizes.

The café is in the centre of the small coastal town of Newport and conveniently opposite the excellent Whole Food Shop. The food is delicious and we look forward to visiting again.

great cafe, vegan options, climbing wall! Children encouraged

This is a lovely little cafe, opened spring 2018. A small space, but feels friendly rather than crowded. The menu is small, however the majority of the food is vegetarian or vegan, some is organic, including home grown salads. Joining the cafe area is a small climbing wall (for little people only!), loved by children. Vegan options include avocado on sourdough toast, with harissa, spicy coconut dahl with lime and sourdough, buckwheat salad. They have a 'kids picking platter' of fruit and veg., loose leaf tea, excellent coffee. Great gluten free and vegan brownies

Pros: very child friendly (and adult friendly), great coffee and tea, excellent brownies, good value, delicious vegan options

Cons: at busy times may be hard to find a seat
