Mixed thoughts.

The person who helped me was very friendly and helpful. The food is expensive for the portion. BUT my goodness the walnut burrito is so special! Only thing is, I want to eat 4 of them. Truly the portion size is insultingly unreasonable for the price.

Update: I tried the Clear Verde cleanse, and I enjoyed how fresh it was and the ease of home delivery. But I found a couple of the juices to be WAY too sweet. The addition of agave nectar in one and so much pineapple in a couple others seems unnecessary in my opinion. I almost couldn't finish those because they were so sweet.

My favorite juice bar in the DMV

Every single thing this place serves is AMAZING. The fresh juices are soooo good which come in glass jars and they will recycle the jars back from you for 10c off your next order. The smoothie bowls are my fav!! Banana split açaí bowl is my go to. The fresh, raw food is divine. The desserts like truffles and “pot” brownies with hemp seeds are a must have. Some locations have soft serve vegan ice cream flavors available. The kale chips are also a must. Try it all, you won’t regret.

Pros: All vegan**** except some things contain hunny , Raw , Food, drinks, smoothies

Cons: Some things contain honey***

Ready and waiting...

Got a green goddess blend and was absolutely revived after a long day. So glad juices were already prepped!

Vegan smoothies, juices, and acai bowls

Good service and delicious options for smoothies and acai bowls made to order in-house, as well as about a dozen different juice combinations that are pre-made.

Pros: great service, many options , all vegan!

Cons: Expensive

Good for after-workout juices.

This is right across the street from Down Dog Yoga, and after a sweaty Sunday morning class, there is nothing better than a fresh juice! As an environmental enthusiast I 100% prefer glass over plastic and they use glass bottles!

The atmosphere here is not for hanging out. There are few seats and the staff aren't extremely friendly. It is almost a "fast food" juice vibe. Very "get your juice and be on your way," but I don't mind that on most days. When I came with a friend, it didn't feel like we could sit and chat over our after-workout juices, which was a slight deterrent.

The juices are tasty and packed with fresh ingredients but be prepared to spend what seems like an insane amount of money on a single juice. Honestly, you could buy a salad for the same price as one bottle of juice and sit at a table comfortably while eating it. If you are a constant juicer, I wouldn't recommend making this your daily visit. Put the work in and make your juice comfortably at home, but for a quick pick-me-up or after-workout refuel, this does the job!

Pros: Tasty and fresh, Glass bottles

Cons: Unfriendly staff, Little seating, Expensive

Good but overpriced juice, spotty service

My husband and I regularly frequented Purée in Bethesda for nearly two years, purchasing at least 6 bottles at a time, plus raw meals. Loved the juice and smoothies, even though we felt they were overpriced. Then we had a really poor customer service experience that was never satisfactorily resolved, so we haven't been back there since--more than a year ago. Too bad.

Pros: Convenient , Tasty

Cons: Pricey, Spotty customer service

Satisfied

Puree has a good atmosphere and good lunchboxes with many raw ingredients but for what it is, it's kind of overpriced and could use more low-fat smoothie options (everything has a milk substitute which is not my favorite). I would also have appreciated more raw snack options.

Pros: atmosphere, mostly raw, health food haven

Cons: expensive, little variety

Pay to Play

This expensive Juice Bar is down the street from SOULCYCLE which was right on time when I needed to refuel from the intense spin class. I'm not one for price gouging but given their location in the trendy business district of Bethesda, MD I understand the Justification. There is a large selection of juices and smoothies which are served in glass bottles which is cool. But I wasn't a fan of their packaged foods or the $10 coconuts.

Pros: Glass bottles, delightful mixes

Cons: expensive, expensive, expensive

Prices high but it's so good!

The prices here may cause you to fall over if you have never been into juice culture. However, the stuff is legitimately tasty. If you love juices and raw foods, this place is great. The food is all vegan, as are the juices and smoothies. I love the premade juices packaged in glass bottles- reusable and cool!

They have some raw treats like chocolates, from an outside company.

The menu is extensive for juice and smoothie choices. However, I am not a fan of their food choices having cooked food in them when they are practically raw. It would be nicer to have more raw choices for food. Still, with so few juice bars around, I support their efforts. Prices are comparable to NYC juice bars- maybe they are trying to hype their products up? The ingredients are not all organic, so be aware.

Pros: All vegan, Glass bottles, Great flavor selection

Cons: Prices, Not all raw

Nice afternoon refreshment

I stopped in the Puree Juice Bar while on a business trip to the DC area. Although I'm not a big fan of green juices and detoxing, I was in the mood for something filling and creamy. I had the banana butter cup puree and it was DELIGHTFUL! Check our our full review here: http://bit.ly/11b0d7D

Pros: Vegan, Refreshing, Quaint

Cons: a tad pricey

A juice bar for juice nuts

Glad to have found a local place aimed at the juice cleansing crowd. They have the spicy lemonade that I used for one 3 day cleanse,. but I think I'll try a differently cleanse next time so I can sample all their juices. Tried a pro shake today - almond, cocnut, hemp and cacao - nice because not v sweet but very creamy. Light and a great lunch instead of the 5 Guys burger my son had instead :-/ Will come back often.

Pros: 100% organic, Local produce, Interesting ingredients

Cons: Pricier, but worth the splurge
