Hands down the best place to eat in TST - Edit
It was ages before I finally went here and I love, love, love this place. Amazing Szechuan style tofu dish with braised greens and some jasmine rice - totally sublime. You'll need to go with friends as there was a lot of food and all simply and beautifully cooked and presented. Can;t wait to go back!

THE pure vegan Chinese dim sum place - Edit
Haven't been back to this place for a long time. First time there since they moved to Tsimshatsui. The front entrance looked dull, deserted and dusty. As I went up, I saw traditional Chinese style tables and chairs, and their menu with all pure vegan food, my attitude of this place started to change. The food was great as usual. Only if their service and hygiene level (not just front entrance) could be improved, then a five-star rating will be awaiting them.

Great dim sum - Edit
Very busy place but efficient service. We didn’t have a reservation but we were told to come back in half an hour and we were given a table. Booking ahead might be a good idea.
Read moreI was craving dim sum and this satisfied nicely.
Different atmosphere to when it was in Coda Plaza but food just as good! Obviously a very popular spot because the food is so tasty.
Staff speak English and are helpful with menu choices.

Favourite veggie Chinese place to date - Edit
Again moved address in 2020 to TST side.
Read moreThis restaurant is my favourite veggie Chinese restaurant (and I've been to a lot now)! I bring almost all my guests here and everyone loves the food. Even brought my non-vegetarian team from work who enjoyed it and have gone back.
It's a big menu. Love their:
- Tofu: Ma Po tofu, organic tofu in home sauce, Sichaun style tofu with cashew nuts (it's spicy and delicious);
- Various kinds of noodles: their vermicelli is my favourite, not so fond of the Lohan fried noodles personally;
- Mixed mushroom in black truffle sauce with rice crackers (intense flavour and great to share);
- AMAZING dim sum which is served at lunch: so many kinds! delicious vegan char siu bao buns, vegan siu mai, vegan cheong fun, mixed mushroom dumplings, green vegetable dumplings....
I can go on... their vegetable dishes are great too, and they have various kinds of vegan jellies and other vegan desserts (I'm usually full by then so haven't tried that many of those, but the ones I have were good).
- Hot Pot: During winter (Oct-Jan). It's not easy to find a vegan one, and they offer five different soup flavours (you can pick 4 and have one in each quadrant). Has a large selection of toppings too.
It's a Buddhist restaurant - no alcohol, no onions/garlic, no MSG.
Best to reserve a table as it can get full.

Nice place to meet friends for dinner. Excellent Chinese food Hong Kong style. They have that round tables where you can ask a lot of different dishes and they go sniping at the center of the table. Love that!

I had great dinner during business trip to HongKong. So much foods with different sauces. Fun to taste this and that. Too bad I had no chance to try single menus. Next time!

Bad Choice - Edit
I ordered a 'frozen tofu' dish that was rated two chillis out of three for heat. It also came with a few cashews and mushrooms. The large plate was otherwise filled with lots of small red and large green chilli pieces. I tried just two of the red chillis and they were so hot that the second one made me ill for several minutes. There were simply hundreds of these chilli pieces that rendered my dish inedible. The rest of the family didn't like their dishes either. Neither did we like the various dumplings we ordered. I wish I could write a more positive review but that was our experience.

Worst food I’ve had during my visit to Asia - Edit
I would have rated this one star if Happy Cow allowed it.
Read moreThe name of the restaurant has changed to Sound Of Veggie, but we were informed that it was the same restaurant as Pure Veggie House.
My husband and I went out of our way to go here and it was some of the worst food we’ve had. Everything tasted like it was heated from the freezer and as soon as it started to cool, the tofu became so hard it was impossible to eat. On top of that, the server would not give us time to read the menu. She kept hovering over our table and began pointing to things she suggested after only a moment. We kindly asked for a moment with the menu and she just stood at the table waiting. Maybe it’s a cultural difference, but I felt extremely rushed and did not have time to review my options.
Pros: All vegetarian
Cons: Expensive , Poor quality food, Bad service

Hi, I'm sorry you had this experience, but I think you have gone to their former address from which a different restaurant is now operating. Not sure why this other restaurant told you it is the same as Pure Veggie House! Pure Veggie House moved location months ago to M88 on Wellington Street.

Amazing Dim Sum - Edit
Delicious vegan experience with best dim sum I’ve had as a vegan! The restaurant has many many options - that represent the gamut of “Chinese food.” From soups to hot pot to Sichuan style, as well as creative-looking mushroom dishes, the menu is one that could delight for many many visits. On a Tuesday evening, no reservations were required - the restaurant is very large with plenty of available tables (tonight at least).

Amazing! - Edit
By far the best Chinese food I've eaten in Hong Kong. Huge menu to cater for everyone. Prices are expensive so I won't be coming back often, but the flavours were so good that I wish I could come here every night. Noodles, monkey head mushroom, dumplings, dim sum, it doesn't matter what you order it's all good.

very tasty vegetarian options - Edit
Since I’ve become vegetarian few years ago, I hadn’t missed eating meat, however I’ve missed eating certain dishes, one of which is the Mapo Tofu. And here at this restaurant, we had the best vegetarian option of this dish. Chinese vegetarian cuisine can be very creative in offering a good alternative to their traditional dishes, and this place did not disappoint. It may even be the best mapo tofu i ever had, even comparing to some I’ve had in my Pre-vegetarian days. The spiciness of it live up to the equivalent in traditional Sichuan cuisine. Be sure to get a bowl of white rice if you get mapo tofu, you will be needing it!

Went there for lunch. They have different menus. Set menus, usual a la carte and dim sum a la carte. You can fill in the dim sum menu with what you want to order using the pencil provided. This is the most extensive vegan dim sum menu I've seen in Hong Kong so far. It was pretty tasty. Great presentation. Some flavours I've not tasted before. Staff were friendly and the interior is modern.

Hey, what’s up? - Edit
Arrived to a half empty restaurant, or was it half full? Can’t remember. Anyway I got seated in a side room with only 2 tables, I’m not sure why, maybe it was because I was wearing a colorful bandana and they didn’t want to scare away other customers.. Then the waiter asked what tea I wanted, when I asked which one was best and I was told to get “this tea” so I went along with it, didn’t end up drinking it but it smelled great and made for a nice ambiance. My food came, soon thereafter, it was hot, not to be confused with spicy, it wasn’t spicy, although it could have been, if I added hot sauce, but hot sauce doesn’t go well with truffle noodles (which were very reasonably priced) anyway hot being a good thing, the food was DANK and it’s hard to find DANK vegan food in Asia, ESPECIALLY CHINA (well idk who considers HK China) anyway that’s my review, I hope you liked it. Go and eat at this place if you’re vegan, and if you’re not vegan, go eat here when you become vegan, because the world is going vegan. IT’S HAPPENING, DEAL WITH IT.............

AMAZING! One of the best meals of my life. - Edit
Whenever travelling, we always like to try a new place for all of the meals we have out. However, we just had to come back here a second time as the food was so good. Such an extensive menu- the dim sum and all the hot mains we had were so delicious. Living in the UK, there’s nota huge amount of vegan dim sum options and coming from a Chinese family, there were so many childhood favourites I got to eat again (and so many new dishes too). Almost a year since our trip to HK and we still talk about this restaurant! Highly highly recommend it.

Tasty food but disappointing service - Edit
I was really looking forward to going here out of all the restaurants in Hong Kong. I first went here only to be refused entry at 9pm even though online closing time is advertised as 10.30pm. This place is out of the way so I had to get a cab only to be told I couldn't come in. I later contacted the restaurant via Facebook to ask what time they closed and was told 10.30pm, when I explained I was refused at 9pm they told me the staff member must not have understood English well and it was a misunderstanding, however his English seemed perfect and there was no misunderstanding.
Read moreI decided to return the next day before I was to leave Hong Kong as I really had wanted to try the food. I made a reservation and went around lunchtime. The place is nicely laid out but the staff really could do with being more friendly especially when it's not the cheapest places. The menu selection is good and the food arrives pretty fast. I enjoyed the dim sum the most and found the mapo tofu a little flavourless, however on food the place is good but the service and attitude could do with an overhaul
Pros: All vegan
Cons: Expensive, Unfriendly environment
