I ordered the Sprout Lovers Tacos and they were pretty good, but definitely not the best I’ve ever had! The walnut meat was mushy, but I really enjoyed the sprouts and shells. Good vegan food if you’re in a pinch and need something to eat, but definitely better options in STL!

Good Healthy Food! - Edit
This place has excellent food! They take healthy eating and make it interesting. It’s not the flavorless stuff you usually get from a healthy raw vegan place. They were very polite and helpful when I asked questions about the menu and the atmosphere was cozy and charming. I would definitely recommend visiting them if you’re ever in St. Louis!

Food was VERRY fresh! i got the taco bowl, it was pretty good. The “meat” was crazy amazing and made from carrot. I got a smoothie and hated it. It did not taste good at all, everyone at my table tried it and agreed, when trying to switch it for another smoothie I was treated rudely and told no and no refunds either. I will not be going back anytime soon because of the service I received. Otherwise I would! Maybe in the future sometime.

gorgeous place! - Edit
i had a wonderful late lunch here on a sunny afternoon!
Read morei had the cold chai which was rich in flavour and very delicious. for food i chose the raw summer bowl - zucchini spaghetti with sprouts, mint, pineapple(!!), peppers and black sesame. it not only looked wonderful, it also tasted amazing! the dressing - even though a little too much, i'd say - was very nice, too!
atmosphere is very relaxed, the place wasn't too busy (maybe because of the time) and i just enjoyed sitting there for a while, resting my legs.
salad was 10 dollars after tax so not too bad. especially as it was a huge portion!
would visit anytime again! the menu sounds wonderful and there's breakfast all day long!!
Pros: choices & taste, atmosphere, location (not too far from forest park)
Cons: smoothies are a little pricey

OK... - Edit
This is not my favorite vegan place to eat in St. Louis, but I'm happy that they're here as an option for local veg*ns. I tried a raw dessert from them a while back (I believe it was a cheesecake) and it was good. I recently returned and tried the Not Yo Mama's BLT sandwich. This vegan BLT came with tempeh bacon, lettuce, tomato, and a homemade spicy mayo, all on waffle bread. The concept of using waffle as a bun is weird, but hey, whatever works. (Their current online photo of this shows avocado, but be advised that it's an extra $1 if you want the avocado.) For $6 it was a very small portion. Luckily, I didn't come for a full meal; I only wanted to sample, so I split this with a friend and it was literally gone in two bites. The flavor of the tempeh and the spicy mayo were delicious. Personally, I'm not a fan of the waffle bread though. It came with 2 orange wedges.

PuraVegan is the best! - Edit
I LOVE PuraVegan! I always visit when I'm in Saint Louis. They have the most delicious dishes and they're always so fresh. I wish they had one where I live! I highly recommend the chili and waffle cornbread. They also have a mini market where you can buy chapsticks or supplements (I got some ayurvedic tea that saved me from a cold once) and a yoga studio attached. You don't want to miss this place!

Friendly Vegan Cafe! - Edit
I was looking for a place in the Central West End to grab a quick bite after my shift at Children's Hospital, and I'm so glad I found PuraVegan! The food is good, the staff is very friendly, and the quaint sidewalk cafe atmosphere makes it truly enjoyable. They have smoothies of all kinds, and for lunch a selection of vegan delights sure to leave you satisfied. My first time in I tried the mac and cheese, which was very good, my next visit I tried the BLT made with tempeh, and it was fantastic! For a quick vegan snack or lunch in the CEE, make sure you stop by and try their awesome menu! They also have Yoga, but I haven't tried that...yet! Lol

Acai bowl heaven - Edit
I used to love down the street from Pura Vegan and I had serious Acai bowl withdrawals once we moved. Everything I've tried off of their menu is delicious and they make it with so much love!
