Delicious!!! - Edit
So delicious! Able to order Vegan Kofta and other dishes that are never available as vegan. We'd give 5 stars because of that! Courteous attentive staff. Lots of vegan choices. 3 other tables occupied near us with 3 other countries represented. Great people watching at window table.

Ok; 2.5 stars - Edit
I highly recommend booking as although service and table turnaround is fast there was a very long queue from 5.30-7pm.
Read moreVegan dishes were clearly marked on the menu and there was a fair amount of choice for mains. However, there were no vegan starters (all fried in the same oil as fish) and I was disappointed that both saag dishes seemed to contain milk.
We had a veg biryani and kofta and both were nice but a bit too spicy.
There were no vegan desserts.

Delicious! - Edit
Plenty of vegan options and all clearly marked on the menu. I was eating with a non-vegan crowd, and all our breads came in one basket (luckily the vegan roti's were on top of the naans so no contamination in that sense) so something to be wary of. I had the Amritsari Chole with Pilau Rice with the Tandori Roti, was so delicious no chance for photos! Would highly recommend.

Have been going here for years - Edit
I really like the Punjab and have been going for years, long before it became famous and full of tourists. The food is consistent and the staff always welcoming. Always a pleasant visit and never disapoints.

Punjab - Edit
I ate at this restaurant when a friend was staying at a hotel near the restaurant. Punjab essentially had all the standard Indian items that could be made vegan. Always double check whether there is butter or ghee in your chosen dish when ordering and ask for it to be removed to make a vegan. I had the aloo gobi made vegan and liked it, though it was standard vegan aloo gobi. I go back again.

Great value authentic Indian. - Edit
This restaurant has been around forever, for a reason. The food is well-prepared and very authentic. There are no attempts to do fusion or modern cooking. This is family Indian cooking. Plenty of clearly marked vegan options on the menu

Cons: Not 100% vegan
