Great value to be had. - Edit
We had lunch here a couple of times. The vibe is nice and relaxed though a bit noisy from being located at a busy intersection.
Read moreThere are a couple cheaper options like Nasi Goreng which was 35k and great value, and some good drink options too like a lychee iced tea or young coconut

Delicious bowls - Edit
We ordered takeaway and the food was nevertheless super fresh and nicely presented. I really liked the protein bowl but the marinated starter was my highlight, even after being vegan for 20 years I didn't know that tofu can taste so good!

Super fresh - Edit
I tried 3 dishes at Pumpkin & Beetroot since it was my local plant based cafe for a few days. It’s a simple menu but all super fresh and tasty!
Read moreI really liked the mushroom & avocado toast, the protein quinoa salad (they were out of red onion and switched it to red cabbage, which I actually liked better) that had a nice vegan ranch dressing. The rice paper rolls were good for a light lunch/snack, the peanut sauce was the main reason they were yummy (I don’t think they’d be worth it if you can’t eat peanuts). For drinks, the tropical lush juice was delicious and I would definitely get that one again… the plain pineapple juice I had tasted a bit watered down so it wasn’t as tasty.
By the way, they told me they’re now entirely vegan and the egg noodles are now all rice noodles!
Pros: simple vegan menu , open style cafe , well priced

Amazing Cakes & Snacks ✨ - Edit
They have a small Snacky / Cake section with Energy Balls, Pumkin cake, Banana bread, and A Brownie Bar. Can highly recommend the Brownie & Banana bread, was a 10/10 snacky!

Nice place with delicious food - Edit
Visited this place a couple of times. Everything was delicious. But the noisy street ruins all the atmosphere.

We liked watching the busy traffic goings on at the T intersection out front of the restaurant. I had a burrito & my partner had teriyaki tofu & mashed potato. We had chocolate brownies & Kombucha, & both really enjoyed our meals. Staff are attentive & friendly.

Nice atmosphere - Edit
I liked the atmosphere in the restaurant, it's very chilled. I had the soft tacos, the portion was definitely bigger than I expected. The taste was good, but could be better

A lot of options (their bowls and summer rolls are decent!) and really nice staff. Also offer Take-away options.

Skip this place if you are vegan - Edit
This place calls themselves “Vegan and plant based” but serves egg noodles along with egg in the bread. This made me believe I was ordering vegan noodles. On the menu it didn’t list egg noodles but only fried noodles. This confusing choice of marketing words needs to be changed.

Good mushroom stroganoff - Edit
First of all staff was very unfriendly, a lot of things my friend wanted to order where sold out. I ended up going with the mushroom stroganoff and it was quite good, but not phenomenal. When I tried to pay they didn’t have change and tried to pressure me to pay with card or give them 20k tip. All in all the whole experience seemed a bit more of a difficulty then it should have been. I wouldn’t go back.

Cheap vegan oasis 🌱 - Edit
It’s an open air flow restaurant, with views onto a busy street, great for people-watching. The food is very affordable and the portion sizes are great, especially given the affordability. Taste is good as well! #Veganuary

Yummy - Edit
Super delicious vegan foods. Good prices. We walked around the area, there were many vegan places but couldn't find reasonable prices. We searched it on Google maps and found out it was near by. Definitively recommend burritos and tacos. Nicely designed place. Well done amigos

The big sign in front of the restaurant says “Vegan and plant based” and the staff wears t-shirts with the inscription “Proud to be Vegan”.
Read moreBUT THIS PLACE IS NOT VEGAN!!!
We asked what’s vegan and she said all the bread things are with egg and the nodle things are not vegan and some more dishes.
So with the menucard you can’t know what is vegan because it’s not marked.
So we ordered two dishes. The food tasted not really good and the service was also not really good….

Delicious poke bowl - Edit
The dish I had, the poke bowl, was really delicious and fresh! And loved the mint ice tea. I will definitely go back to try some of the other items. BUT a major challenge was how loud it is. It is located on a busy corner and you sit right on the road. I was eating alone so it was ok but I wouldn’t take someone with me if I wanted to visit or have a conversation.

Note - not fully vegan! - Edit
I just asked out of habit and she told me all the noodles dishes are not vegan due to egg noodles.. doesn’t look like the menu has changed, it seems these dishes have always been non-vegan just not clearly marked in menu. On a closer look the dishes on that page only are named “veggie ramen” etc. not vegan.
Read moreAlso noted they have yoghurt in their smoothie bowls? So be aware!
However, tasty food with loads of options! Nothing special, but fresh and nice. I like that the taxes are already included in the price.

Amazing bowls - Edit
I ordered the protein bowl and damn, it really came with lots of protein. Lentils, chickpeas, tofu and edamame. A dream. In combination with the avocado dressing it's just perfect. My boyfriend had a dragonfruit smoothie bowl and it left him happy and satisfied. We really enjoyed this restaurant.

If you're in the Ubud area, I would definitely recommend checking it out - Edit
Pumpkin & Beetroot Cafe is a charming spot with delightful road-facing seating and a welcoming ambiance. The attentive staff provide swift service, and the menu offers reasonably priced dishes. If you're not fond of lizards, I'd recommend opting for the road-facing seats as there tends to be quite a few around. I was pleasantly surprised to discover a rejuvenating vegan Mango lassi, which I had been searching for, for quite some time. The Vegan Caprese was flavorful, though I believe the Tofu could have been stir-fried a bit to enhance its crispiness. The Lentil Burrito was appetizing and fulfilling enough for a single person. If you're in the Ubud area, I would definitely recommend checking out Pumpkin & Beetroot Cafe.

Cons: Lots of lizards
