Whole Food Vegan

It was nice being at a restaurant with vegan options beyond fried foods, tofu-based, and seitan-based items. The bowl was more filling than I was expecting as it isn’t a large dish. It automatically come with the avocado, which I liked! The soup had a great flavor. My main criticism is that both were quite oily, but especially the grain bowl! It made my stomach a little queasy afterword so next I would request lite/no added oil.

Pros: Flavors, Whole food option, Mix & match proteins

Cons: Too oily, Small portions, Pricey

Reliable Good Food

Very knowledgeable staff and a good amount of gluten free options in addition to vegan/vegetarian. Went here many times and always felt good after eating here.

Could be so much better

This restaurant has so much potential to be healthier but there’s always dairy or meat in things that don’t need it. The kale salad is ok but kind of lackluster.

Good vegan options

Great yummy vegan and vegetarian creative flavorful dishes. I got a kale falafel chickpea bowl. Mixed cuisine flavors, sandwiches, salads, bowls, and some desserts. Good quality for $, and they grow some of their own food. I would recommend. Make sure they make it vegan, like this dressing

Excellent vegan option on Monon Trail

Visiting Indy area from out of state and wanted to ride the Monon bike trail (which was amazing!). Delighted there was a vegan option along the way for lunch. Had the hot grain bowl and really enjoyed it. The homemade lemonade was a wonderful treat on this July day!

Delicious Food

While there aren’t as many vegan options as there used to be there are still a few and everything I’ve had from PG is really good. Knowledgeable staff as well.

I had the warm grain bowl with falafel on my last visit.

Pros: Good vegan options, Knowledgeable staff

Cons: A little on the pricey side

Fresh food

Not the best food but it has some tasty options. I admire how sustainable they are and make the food from their own local garden/farm. The food has some delicious options like the falafal burger (remove the mayo since they dont have any vegan cheese or mayo). Its a place to go out for a nice outing and get some healthy fresh local food and a nice view, but not too much as it is very expensive.
Im not really into going out for salads though. They have other things vegan can get that arent just salads but not much that would leave me fulfilled.

Pros: Fresh food, Sustainability focused

Cons: Very expensive, Small portions

Fresh, seasonal vegan items.

Have been several times. All vegan items are marked, the menu changes seemingly to include more seasonal and locally available ingredients. The price when I went was pick two items for $11, three for $15, can't remember the price of one item). There were always soup options, several cold veggie and noodle salads, humus and pita. Best things I had were a cashew ricotta flat bread and the veggie chili. (My review was for their downtown location).

Pros: Business is known for supporting the community., Fresh, seasonal, flavor packed., Usually something different to try.

Cons: No vegan breakfast/brunch items except a muffin., $15 seems pricey for three veg sides.

Public Greens is DELICIOUS

My husband and I recently ate at Public Greens in Broad Ripple Indiana while traveling to that area. We were looking for a vegan restaurant. All of the foods are not vegan, but many are, and ALL of them are delicious, fresh and healthy. The cook organic whole foods combining a variety of flavors that complement each other through the use of greens, herbs, vegetables and dressings. They also have kombucha on tap! 100 percent of their profits go to healthy meals for at-risk youth and children with challenged access to healthy food. If you are in the area it's a "must try" restaurant. The atmosphere is cool too.

Pros: Healthy, Fresh, Community-centric

Cons: Parking

Light and Healthy Food

Vegan items are marked. I have been here a couple times and still don't really understand their ordering system, but the food is really good. It is light and healthy - no fake meats or anything. I often crave it.

Pros: Light, healthy food, Vegan items are marked

Cons: Parking can be a challenge, Confusing ordering system
