Underwhelmed.

I've heard great things about this place and love their mission of donating profits to charity. Unfortunately my friend and I (both of us vegan) were pretty disappointed.

We went for brunch and I planned on ordering the breakfast plate (tofu scramble, kale, mushrooms, toast with tomato jelly) but after seeing it come to the table next to us the portions were so miniscule (the ppl next to us even commented on it too) I decided to go for a BBQ Beyond Burger.

My friend got the prix fix brunch with avocado toast and biscuits and gravy. The toast was great but to charge $15 for those tiny hunks of bread is sinful! And the biscuits and gravy were two tiny, not good biscuits swimming in a mushroom flavored soup (aka "gravy"). The mushroom concoction was good but not gravy.

The BBQ burger was amazing though, one of the best burgers I've had (really depends how its cooked), topped with caramelized onions, BBQ sauce, and cheese. So good. The fries it was served with did not live up to the burger though, they were clearly frozen fries ala McDonald's. Womp.

Otherwise the interior was nice if dark, service was great, and we were able to get a table immediately on a Saturday at prime brunch time which is no small feat in NYC.

However, there are frankly much better options in NYC. I felt like the price was way too high for quality and portions. I don't mind paying more for a quality meal out, but it just wasn't really creative or impressive in any way. There are other places where you can spend the same price and get a truly amazing and unique meal. It's nice that there is a vegan restaurant in the theater district but otherwise I would not come out of my way to go here.

Pros: Delicious beyond burger, Nice calm interior, All vegan

Cons: Expensive, Miniscule portions, Not impressive food

Amazing! I haven’t had a chance to sit in an elegant place and just eat!!

Listen all my vegan folks, it’s hard finding a place to sit in an elegant place to just eat! This place has drinks and food galore! Enjoy it. Definitely a great place to stop.

Pros: Everything is plant based , Great service , Awesome desserts

Cons: None!

Vegan at Times Square!

This is an upscale vegan restaurant a couple of blocks from Times Square, right in the theater district. They have small and large plates, and the ones we had we quite good. Delicious lasagna was my entree. And the desserts are fabulous! Make a reservation is you want to be sure to get in.

Pros: Near Times Square, Entirely vegan, Profits go to charity

Cons: Somewhat expensive

muy excelente

Excellent food, decent coffee, good service. They have actual ceramic dishes and metal clutery -- no single-use plastic.

A bit pricey, but it's worth it.

Sweet Idea

The food is good. Everything we tried was lovely. We went between shows, and the staff was very accommodating, despite the busy nature of the restaurant that day, they got us in and out in the right amount of time, without making us feel rushed. My companion enjoyed her meal, and we would return.

Pros: Vegan, Gluten Free Options, Nice Atmosphere

Ate lunch there, went back for dinner!

My wife and I had lunch there and it was so good we made reservations to come back for dinner! For lunch she had the chickpea salad sandwich and I had the the maple roasted honeynut squash sandwich. While both were good, we agreed the chickpea was better. For dinner we both had the lasagna, and I can't stress this enough, GET IT! It was amazing! For dessert I had the cheesecake and she had the Apple cobbler... Both delicious!!

Pros: All plant-based, Amazing taste, Good options

Cons: Pricey-but worth it when it's that good., Little loud dining

Phenomenal plant based cuisine

We stopped by for a late brunch. The French toast was out of this world and the bbq burger was hearty and delicious. The almond coffee was well made and hit the spot. Gorgeous setting, great service and proceeds to a good cause. Will definitely be returning here again.

Update! On our return we had the chickpea salad sandwich, which was served on a delicious Turkish style bread and with a huge tasty salad. My partner had the hotdog on a pretzel bun with their signature fries. More almond coffee. More great service.

Pros: Well curated menu - quality vs quantity, Friendly staff, The food was amazing

Cons: There’s no PSKitchen in my home town!

Delicious food, Great vibe, Friendly staff — but not a 5 star

This is a nice airy establishment with great tasting vegan food. The portions were just right and presentation was well done. Fresh flowers on the tables is a nice touch as well. I also like how profits are all donated to charities (applause for that). A water bottle with mint sprigs was left on the table and was quite refreshing. We order apps, entrees and dessert. While not “out of this world” good, it was certainly delicious.

So why not 5 stars? I told the waiter I had a gluten allergy and asked what in the menus I could eat. He suggested a few items and I decided I would go with the burger wrapped in lettuce (instead of bun). It was very good. However, it came with fries. My fault for not asking before eating to validate if the fries were cooked in the same oil as other gluten products. Unfortunately it was and I ate a few before finding this out. I paid dearly for this for many days.

Again, while I take accountability for my lack of inquiry, I will say that in this day all wait staff should be properly trained in food allergy’s and cross contamination. So for this, they loose a star.

Pros: Great atmosphere , Courteous and professional staff in a casual way, Tasty food

Cons: Limited menu for those with allergies , Pricey , Allergy contamination

Cosy atmosphere ok food

I had the lasagnea. It was ok, but not al dente at all rather it was really mushy. Since ut was quite expensive I was not impressed.

Cons: Expensive, loud volume at restaurant

Great place

Great tasting great looking food, well balanced, interesting menu. Lovely venu- a comfortable place to spend time. Several options are bread based and no gluten free alternative was offered. Also sadly quite expensive so we left without trying the dessert (16 dollars seemed steep) but expect it would be delicious too

Pros: Excellent food , Friendly staff, Nice venu

Cons: Bit expensive , No gluten free breads

Great food & atmosphere

Intimate and quaint restaurant with a great dining experience. Not only was the food good but the music was wonderful as well. As an out of towner, I was glad to find a great vegan restaurant walking distance to my hotel!

Pros: All vegan/plant based options, Open late

Cons: They were out of apple cobbler :(

Completely plant based and all profits are donated to charity. 😍

I was already a fan of Terri and this concept elevates the experience with delicious fully plant based menu, sit down restaurant and full bar. Plus all the proceeds benefit charity. What’s not to love?

Pros: All plant based, Cocktails too!

Cons: Pricey, though yummy, Slightly hard to find the first time

Great Vegan bar to get nutrition before/after the Broadway show

It has enough variety and the service is quick so you don't need to wait long if your show time is near. I liked that there are great non alcoholic drinks available like the Apple Orchard with clove, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pros: Friendly staff, great bartender. Good menu choices

Cons: Expensive, portions are tiny

Not worth it!

Tried Columbian potato (just ok) soup and buffalo maitake sandwich (my waitress told me not so spicy and it was way too spicy and maitake over deep fried!).
Not worth it!

BEST PLACE IN NYC!

I was absolutely blown away by this restaurant . I’ve wanted to come for so long but had no idea how incredible it would be. The vibe inside is so cute, service is fast, and the food is phenomenal. For appetizers We got the potato soup and it was awesome . We also got farro salad and the artichoke hearts soooo good. The drinks were INCREDIBLE. The ginger one was so good. The dinner was amazing too. Love this place so much and will be back. Also dessert apple crumble was amazing.

Pros: Cute inside , 100% charitable donation

Like it!

P.S. Kitchen is a good vegan restaurant that I would go back to. There isn’t anything necessarily “special” that sets it apart from other vegan restaurants that serve tofu scramble and avocado toast, though.

Pros: Delicious food, Nice staff

Cons: Expensive!

Our favourite in NYC

Went there 3 times during our stay in NYC, this restaurant is everything you wish for: Tasty Food, cool atmosphere, friendly staff and as I understand, they donate their proceeds for a good cause!
I tried 3 different dishes and all were superb, the Cesar Salad with "Chicken" is awesome, and the burgers are super tasty as well. Also a great place to visit with Omnivores, THIS is how vegan restaurants are done, wish I could find such a place near my hometown.

Pros: Tasty Food, Friendly staff, moderate prices

Cons: sometimes they run out of certain dishes/desserts
