We came here on a Sunday and it was pretty busy, food wait was about an hour but we got two of the vegan slices and they were absolutely delicious!

So good!

This place is a hidden gem, so many vegan options including in the cabinet and on the menu and the food is so good. The staff were very friendly and helpful and knew all the vegan options. Highly recommend, one of the best cafes I have visited in NZ for vegans.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Beautiful setting on a garden estate , Staff friendly and helpful

Cons: None!

Great for kids and adult, beautiful setting

I have been to woodlands a few times - it’s such a great place to take the kids. There is a huge open cricket oval to play in, wooden karts to ride down the hill, football net, garden chess I think and a playhouse as well as a basket of toys and books. My kids have played here for 6 hours one time and still cried to leave!! There is also a lovely walk on the grounds which is kid friendly.
Vegan wise - a few options on the menu and in the cabinet. Proper vegan food - like homemade cashew hollandaise sauce with mushroom stack, tofu subbed in for meat/cheese as a vegan option etc.

I counted 4 options for vegans on the small menu (and more for vegetarians) which was impressive. Plus 2 sweet vegan options in the cabinet. I only ever have the portobello stack as I love it so much - best vegan breakfast in Hamilton!

The chef is on/off vegan apparently with vegan family members so that’s always reassuring.

Pros: Beautiful space - quiet and relaxing , Great for kids - lots to do, Vegan food options with some thought put in

Cons: Not a huge menu, Not a specific kids menu but a couple of options

Great for the whole family

For a non vegan restaurant they have a great range of vegan options, and a lovely setting to go with it. Would recommend to anyone wanting to find a place that everyone would agree on, or people that have kids as there is a large number of toys for them to play with. 10/10, would go again
