Very good, delivery

Was quite surprising finding a Russian restaurant in Laos! I can say that tefteli were the best out of all my order. The soup was good as well and bread was quite tasty. Cabbage rolls were a bit spicy and venigret had some weird taste but overall good!

Fresh and tasty Russian food with many clearly-labelled vegan options

Clean, spacious restaurant, friendly waiter, good service, lots of choice, fresh food, accept QR payments, card payments. Was happy to find and enjoy good Russian food in Laos. Lots of vegan options.

Yummy, cheerful, and hearty

Well, I’m Russian. And I’m a vegetarian (that happens, lol). Traditionally, Russian/Soviet cuisine is famous for its meaty stuff; and certainly, I was pleasantly surprised finding such a lush choice of vegetarian dishes (and even a few vegan ones) on their menu. Unlikely around South-East Asia, their food doesn’t contain any MSG, and it’s made literally from scratch. Fresh, home-like taste, amazing blini (crepes), pirozhki (small stuffed buns) and pirogi (big one-piece pie); salads, including traditional Russian recipes; main courses like fried potatoes (flavorful, nothing common with dull French fries!) or grilled veggies; pickles such as sauerkraut and cucumbers; dark bread is to die for. And the key point is atmosphere: you’ll experience the generosity of Russian culture, right in the heart of Laos, but without “typical” Russian gruffness and grumpiness. In three words: yummy, cheerful, and hearty. I would rate it 5**, but five star rating is available only for fully vegan and vegetarian restaurants.

Pros: Fresh , no MSG , cooking from scratch

Cons: a bit remote from downtown area

great lunch set menu

I had a great vegan set lunch. Reasonable price at 38000 kip. Borch, dumpling, bread, salad and pickles, a drink and dessert. They are very willing to make it suit vegetarian or vegan. They have a vegetarian burger too that I am looking forward to trying.

Pros: lots of veg options and chef is veg so understands, delicious food, friendly staff

Cons: no ac, there is meat on the menu
