Lots of vegan options and drinks

There is separate vegan menu and drinks. Only western food. Portion size quite small so maybe it’s better to order menu if you are really hungry.

Delicious vegan set menu

Delicious food, fun presentation and service! We ordered the vegan set menu. The appetizers came wrapped in a gift box. Every single item tasted great. I ordered the spaghetti with bolognese sauce. This is no ordinary spaghetti! It’s loaded with a variety of mushrooms, summer vegetables, and topped with chopped nuts. I don’t drink coffee or tea, so I was offered fresh apple juice. We couldn’t have enjoyed our meal more. When you’re near the train station, this is a convenient and delicious place to get vegan Italian food.

Pros: Delicious food, Great service , Loads of Vegan options

Beautiful dinner and excellent service.

Fine vegan dining is hard to come by but this one definitely delivers and more. I thoroughly enjoyed my vegan Gozen dinner consisting of antipasto and pasta plus optional main addition while my non vegan husband enjoyed his own Gozen.

Pros: Fine dining as well as more casual options, Very friendly staff and Japanese Omotenashi

Room for improvement but nice atmosphere and friendly staff

As one of the only places in Karuizawa that offer vegan options, it fills it's role but definitely didn't meet the standards we expected.
We ordered a course menu with five small starters, a lasagne main and a dessert. All the starters were cold, which wasn't ideal in wintertime. Flavour wasn't bad at all, but not something I'd order again and there was a shocking variation in quality between each starter. The lasange was quite nice with vegan cheese and a light sauce, however it was still frozen in parts and was smaller than the palm of my hand and dessert was an inedible cold oat jelly or "brulé" as explained. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was quite elegant and relaxed. I hardly ever give reviews, let alone bad ones but I really think there's a lot of room for improvement in this establishment.

Pros: Separate vegan menu , Very nice atmosphere , Staff were very friendly and explained menu well

Cons: Portion sizes are very small and left us hungry, Food was edible, but lasagne still frozen in parts, Dessert was oat jelly - not sweet & dissapointing
