A Seventh Day Adventist establishment, which has been conscious of health and food correlations since the movement's inception 150+ years ago. Also known as Living Well.
This place does not have produce just in case anyone was wondering! They have a good amount of products that I never see in other stores. They also have May Wah in the frozen section which I love!
Seventh Day Adventist operated store. Has been called Living Well for several years. Christian bookstore with small grocery and juice/smoothie bar. Has a few prepared foods: a vegan and a vegetarian hoagie and sandwich, a couple of soups; a large selection of frozen products like May Wah and others. Not completely vegan. No fresh veggies or fruit. Very high prices considering how many other options exist in the area. In a shopping center that includes a Target, Aldi and some other big box stores.
I like going here because I know there will at least be no meat in anything. But everything is priced way higher than it would be at target or even MOMs! I usually don’t buy much from here unless it’s on sale.
I love stocking up on vegan food, supplements, Christian books, skin care and make up, essential oils, etc. I'm Seventh Day Adventist so I love having access to Ellen White's writings. Great quality but the prices are a bit steep. They are closed on Saturdays to observe the Sabbath.
This place is one of the coolest and most unexpected places in the greater DC metro area. You really have to go in person to appreciate it. It's a VERY Christian (Seventh Day Adventist) place - bookstore with loud Christian music and church promoting things all over the place. At the same time it has an all vegan (I think - or at least almost all) grocery store! This is the first time I've ever seen such a thing and they definitely had products I've never seen elsewhere (like TheVegetarianExpress parmesan cheese sprinkles made out of almond flour and nutritional yeast - and they were one of the first places in DC area to carry Chao Cheese). It also has lots of health/beauty products and teas (no caffeine). Personally I'm not into the religious stuff, but this place is seriously a jewel and I will go back.
