Avond eten

Echt lekkere vegan opties.

Pros: Lekker, Alternatief, Gezellig

Healthy, welcoming, delicious!

My dining experience was top - so glad to have found this health-conscious resto & tea salon in the heart of Angers. All organic, gluten-free, daily menu features exclusively vegan/vegetarian dishes with the option of adding a main-dish meat for your non-veg friends, but all are made to be complete without. Hosts Isabelle & Marine are delightful, space is charming. I loved my tagine and lemon tiramisu!

Different but lovely tiramisu

We didn’t have a reservation but I asked if we could have a table for Friday night and they said yes. Hey were very nice and accommodating speaking a mix of English and French. I just need more confidence! Most of the items available were vegan or vegetarian. We opted for the formulae (entree plat dessert). I had the soup, the dhal with apples and the tiramisu. All of the courses were very nice, but I especially enjoyed the tiramisu. The flavours were really nice. The coffee really came through.

It’s reasonably priced and a lovely place to sit in. Really lovely staff.

Friendly and tasty

We stopped in here searching for a late breakfast and ended up having lunch (c12:15). The menu is mostly vegan and we tried the vegetarian (or vegan - I may have misunderstood) yummy burger and a hearty Dhal. We followed this with a deliciously nutty brownie and an even tastier chocolate chip cookie.
The lady is incredibly friendly as was one of the customers who helped to translate. Relaxing atmosphere to eat with impeccably clean toilet facilities and a baby changing station.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , All homemade food, Great tea selection

Lovely

The woman who runs this shop is so so lovely, made our experience all the more enjoyable. Has a rotating menu pretty much all vegan (and GF!) Great take on tiramisu, will be returning.

Lovely lunchtime café

Went here on two consecutive days. On the first day we had coffee and tried two of the vegan desserts: crumble with ice cream and cookie with ice cream. We enjoyed it so much we came back next day for lunch. The vegan “formule 2 plats” was €11.50 and the 3 plats €15. The Croque Mie and Wrapp starters were lovely and our tagine for main course was excellent.
We will definitely be back next time we are in Angers.

Pros: Good vegan menu, Very friendly, Reasonable price

Cons: Not open in the evening (closes 5.30)

Little gem in the old part of Angers

After a long visit to the Chateau of Angers we were looking for a vegetarian restaurant. Thanks to happy Cow we found "Poitron & Ciboulette" (Pumpkin & Chive), which is situated only a 5 min walk away from the Chateau and really close to the Cathedral.
The place looked spotless clean. The theme of the colours is brown, green and orange, which gave the place a homely touch.
We (3 vegetarians, 1 vegan) had a mixed salad with spaghetti and wraps (made out of cooked cabbage) filled with Couscous and vegetables - everything was vegan. Our drinks were apple juice, cold and hot flavoured rooibos teas.
All the food and drinks were organic. Deserts were available as well.
At our visit to the restaurant there was only cold vegan food available, so it was all together more a snack than a full lunch.

Pros: different vegan options, everything is organic, very clean, homely touch, friendly staff, close to Cathedral and Chateau

Cons: only cold vegan options available ???
