It's a small place but quite nice! The muffin was a little bit dry but gets you where you wanna go!

The only go-to option for quick vegan edibles - Edit
It is what it is folks, sometimes you get a good moist muffin, sometimes you don't. But it's the only place where you can get a vegan edible in Amsterdam without having to pre-order it. Price is fair, and you only need half per person, so it can easily be shared! They have a few flavors, but the blueberry one is the best!
Read morePros: go-to vegan option, can be shared
Cons: sometimes you get a dry one.

Vegan space muffin - Edit
I have to agree, the muffin can be pretty dry, if it's not very fresh. The taste is quite good though.
Read moreThe last time I went to Popeye's I bought a vegan blueberry muffin. The salesperson had told me, she had just taken some from the freezer, it still wasn't fully unfrozen. I ate it the same day. It was fluffy and delicious, a proper vegan muffin! Maybe that's the trick to avoid them being so dry.
The effect was really good though.
Please be careful, it's strong.

A good edible option! - Edit
Bought a muffin each, one stroopwafel and one blueberry flavour. Generally tasted fairly bland, I was happy with the blueberry option as the blueberries gave it some taste, though was very dry. Reasonable potency too for two people with almost zero tolerance😄

Vegan weed muffin - Edit
We went for the vegan weed muffin and we chilled in the smoking area for a bit while it was raining outside. You pretty much just go there for the weed not too sure they sell any other food. It had nice vibes and I even ended up dropping a steamy stack in their surprisingly lovely lavatory. A cozy Amsterdam rainy evening experience.

Blueberry Muffin Spacecake - Edit
There were quite a few vegan options at this coffee shop, unfortunately we went late in the day so we only ended up getting the blueberry muffin as that’s all that was left.
Read moreThe muffin itself was nice but very dry, not eating it for taste though let’s be honest. We had a quarter each and it definitely did the job!

Muffin's a bit dry! - Edit
It definitely does the job if you were eating a space muffin just for the space. The taste of the muffin itself is nice and sweet, but the texture was incredibly dry. Definitely felt the effects soon enough tho!

Dangerously delicious! Clean venue with two levels and friendly staff. They have blueberry space muffin and space stroopwafel muffin as vegan options. Blueberry was my favorite. They also have a vegan gluten free blueberry muffin.

Overpriced, tourist trap - Edit
*** If you are looking for vegan edibles there is only ONE place to go: La Tertulia on Prinsengracht near Elandsgracht! ***
Read morePopeye does have vegan edibles, but there are much too sweet and not very potent. I also didn't think they tasted so fresh. This is just one of the many tourist trap places around Central Station, really.

First time edibles - Edit
During our trip to Amsterdam we really wanted to do some edibles. We didn’t know if it was possible to eat edibles as a vegan, but we read online that Coffeeshop Popeye sells a vegan version. We went to Popeye to try it out for the first time and to be honest I was a little scared. The employees gave me a good explanation on how to use them which relaxed me. Besides giving us a good high the muffins were also delicious. We recommend anyone who goes to Amsterdam to visit Popeye!

Bad attitude - Edit
Bad customer service from the managers and the lady from the kitchen,
Read moreThey clearly state that they sell a vegan breakfast so I enquired which beans they use, as if its Heinz beans sometimes they are not suitable for vegans,
this already seemed to have caused a stir and the hostility grew from there...
The lady from the kitchen then goes on to say that sometimes the bread they use is also not vegan because and I quote "sometimes its cheaper"
By the way they used a cheaper brand of beans so they were vegan but simply enquiring about it will get you yelled at and told they don't have time for this bullshit as they are just a coffeeshop...
So I wouldn't trust this place if you are vegan watch out for the snakes in the grass they only want your money!
CoffeeshopPopeye
The views and opinions of this guest does not reflect those of Popeye. We tried to resolve the issue with the guest but he responded in an impolite way to our employees. We’ve asked the guest not to return to Popeye.

Nice place to get away from the busy streets of Dam. Quite a small place but nice place to blaze up with a few friends. Seems to be a place for locals too which is nice. The vegan muffins were aight quite bready in texture. Nice lil buzz but nothing overpowering at all. I would definitely go there to chill though.
