Serves meat, vegan options available. Venue hosting concerts, workshops and other events with a restaurant that serves vegan burgers, risotto, chili, soup, cakes and high tea. Removed November 2022 - no longer serving food.
Since there are not that many places on Strijp that are open on mondays, this pub definitely deserves a mention.
I enjoyed the Indian Bhaji Burger here, made with roasted eggplant, vegan cheddar, red onion, kimchi, salad and BBQ sauce. Very tasty! Served with French fries and (YAY) vegan mayonnaise.
Unfortunately they don’t serve any vegan desserts.
Other vegan options are Pomodori soup or mushroom tempura as starters, and a pumpkin salad as a main. If you only go for drinks and snacks you can order onion rings, fries or mini spring rolls.
I loved the vegan croque! You barely see them on menu's. There are vegan options within each catagory. You also can enjoy an oatmylk coffee😄love the scenery.
Even though the menu is way more vegan now than the 1 or 2 vegan/vegetarian options they had before, a beef carpaccio named 'blood on the tracks' doesn't make me curious for the rest on the menu.
Also a few months ago there were 'baby' meats on the menu, like baby lamb or baby deer or baby piglet or something. Ewww. The avenue looks nice though.
Nice food with some good vegan options. I tried the vegan burger but would only say the pita bread is a bit dry (a real burger bun would be better). The tomato soup is nice, nothing special. We tried the three vegan cakes, I love the brownie. The cheesecake and carrot cake are too sweet for my taste but my boyfriend liked them. I hope they’ll offer even more vegan options in the future!
