Dessert is awesome - Edit
Great for small intimate occasions. Desserts are so good. Haven’t had their savory items, and I also haven’t bought any of their hygiene products, but the employees are so nice and welcoming.

Handcrafted Food and Desserts - Edit
Friends and I have eaten here several times. Was just here a few days ago again. Here's my Pomegranate Cafe review update.
Read moreOriginally a dessert cafe Pomegranate has evolved to include a full menu of savory options. The kitchen makes the hot and savory foods to order. The housemade burger is lovely and very filling. The quiches are very tasty. The spicy ramen (brown rice noodle) is tasty though the broth is too salty for me. The desserts always look gorgeous and taste great. I've tried many of them, and I like that they are not too sweet: tiramisu, green tea red bean cake, strawberry short cake, mocha cake, mango tart... YUM. The ice cream flavors are unique and exquisite -- must try.

Amazing desserts - Edit
Stopped in to grab some desserts to share with non-vegans. I tried the tiramisu and double chocolate cake. They were delicious, but a little expensive for the size.

Love it - Edit
Saw this on happycow sometime ago and just had to give it a try. Since we've returned at least 4 or 5 times already, and I can't wait to go again.
Read moreThe desserts are so fine and not too sweet: in fact they actually taste healthy, so I don't feel guilty for eating them... The savory foods are pretty good, too, like the ramen and vegan sushi.
The prices are not cheap, though comparable to places in the area. The quality is good, and it's all vegan.
Pros: good service, fine desserts, healthy sweets
Cons: i want to eat everything here

little cakes - Edit
I followed them on Instagram and everything seemed bigger there. It's expensive for what you get. 5$ for three ice cream sliders, 6 for a tiramisu. I chose tiramisu because it was the biggest of the normal-priced cakes. Everything was delicious.

Japanese food and dessert - Edit
Decided to try this place since I happened to be in the area. I opted for the chicken quinoa bowl because I wanted something easy to eat and I enjoyed it! Although the the portions weren’t super big, the food itself was extremely tasty. What really stole my heart was definitely the dessert here. I got their green tea cake with mochi and thought it was the most delicious vegan dessert ever. I’ll definitely be back to try their other desserts!

Pomegranate - Edit
Went yesterday for desert while visiting some vegan spots in la in hopes of finding vendors for my wedding and I was disappointed to find that literally every desert has coconut in it (I’m allergic so I took a Benadryl and took a few bites anyways since it was out of the way by 25 min and I don’t want to have wasted my fiancé’s time with the drive). The lady taking orders at the register was strange to put it nicely and she came off more as pushy rather than helpful. It took us a bit to figure out what to order and got in what appears to be a line meanwhile people became to come in and it seamed as if they started another line so we had to go to the back of that line and ended up waiting for 4 sets of people to order for ourselves. I was holding a vape pen in my hand whirl ordering and the pushy lady’s asks what it was and I told her at which point she asks what it’s for and I told her and she starts to tell me that I can’t smoke it in the restaurant (which I wasn’t trying to so I told her that) and she said she was just telling me Incase I decided that I wanted to 😒. I felt it was very unnecessary since I hadn’t even attempted to and the only reason I have it is because I have sever anxiety and the oil in it helps me to be able to go out in public and I needed to use it just before we walked out of the parking lot so that I could have the nerve to go in. She took forever getting the pre baked goods to our table and once she got them to us she said “this is all” as if she was attempting to find alternative words for you can go now. I don’t think we are the usual clientele for this area and it showed all over her face. The food was ok it was not very flavorful in sharp contrast to the vegan spots we had stopped at prior to the pomegranate. I love that everything is clean and all the food was labeled but overall the customer service not only ruined any chances at us giving the pomegranate a second try but my fiancée and I will definitely not be asking them to cater our wedding in August. Good luck to the brave souls who go and try this spot the again lady at the register has a mean spirit. This app automatically gives one star for being a vegan spot but I would rate it a 1 star ⭐️ but the lowest they allowed was two ⭐️⭐️ 😒

creative cuisine - Edit
I had a number of exceptional small plates at this small, cosy restaurant. The presentation is lovely and the flavors are unique. I ordered a number of rice sushi rolls, and my favorite was the scallops made from mushrooms on rice. A great place for a quick meal and dessert.

Very nice place - Edit
The place is very beautiful, clean and elegant. Food is very well prepared and good looking. I tried two deserts, tiramisu and pumpkin pie I think, they were good but not great. I would come back to try hot food or other deserts.

Green Tea Cake 😋 - Edit
This place is very cute and small right near a dance studio and shops a few minutes walk from Beverly Center! I think the location is great but I didn't know they had things other than dessert before walking inside. Everything on the menu is gluten free which is amazing but I'd love to also see some raw dessert/food items. There's a small fridge with pick up items as well. It's relatively expensive. You can buy by the slice or samples of the dessert. I tried the green tea cake which was magical!! It had red bean paste and a whipped vanilla layer and a matcha sponge cake consistency that all blended perfectly. The plate was decorated with a small white flower and they brought it to me outside. One of my favorite experiences out in LA so far~ I dream about that cake still today 😙

Fantastic food but long waits - Edit
First time visiting the cafe and we waited about 20mins to get seated. It was brunch time so the place was packed. The menu selections was outstanding and service was great. 30min wait for our food but manager made her rounds to all tables and apologized. No biggie luckily we didn't have anywhere to be. I ordered the raw veg wrap and mom ordered the French toast. Everything was delicious and worth the wait.

nice vegan options and juices - Edit
We went here and tried a vegan dessert and a juice. It's good to get vegan dessert any time but to be honest the range when we were there was not so good. Juice was good but nothing special. It would have been good to have tried more things to give a more accurate review. The dessert tasted pretty good and not too much like health food (as some vegan stuff does) which is a plus

Good - Edit
The staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. I had the shoyu ramen bowl, which was fresh and light. I was a little surprised that the ramen and a bottle of juice cost about $25. Then again, I'm not from L.A. Pastries looked yummy and were pretty, but a bit too pricey for me at $6 for a fairly small portion. Overall, I liked Pomegranate and would come back for a light lunch when I'm feeling flush.

delicious desserts - Edit
We've gotten desserts to go on several occasions. Everything has been absolutely beautiful and delicious. Tiramisu, mango cheesecake, raspberry chocolate cake, fruit tart, and much more. Dirk has had the crème brulee while eating onsite with some coffee. The décor is lovely and inviting. There are tables outside as well as a couple inside. The café also has a beauty shop area that I have not looked at yet. There are some pre-packaged Shojin meals to go too. Salads and sushi when I was there. I got the crunchy dynamite rolls. The cashier was extremely friendly and nice too and there's parking behind the store. Overall, a terrific place and we can't wait to go back.

Went to pomegranate today and it COMPLETELY met my expectations! Went with my cousin and we wanted to try everything so we got the small 6 person platter. Everything was outstanding and the service was so good. the people were so glad we were there and ordering a lot. The chef brought out creme brûlée (even though we didn't order it) just so we could actually try everything and I'm SO glad she did be chase it was my favorite! When I was leaving she gave me a free Chapstick and thanks us for coming. This place was amazing i highly recommend it.

This place is adorable. They have a great selection of cookies and treats. It's a bit intimidating because everything is so beautiful and clean looking. Had some fruit cookies and they were tasty! Will be back, we were the only people in there a Sunday afternoon and I want this place to succeed!
