Excellent Food - Edit
The food was pretty good. I ordered the Philly with kale salad, which definitely hit the spot. I was torn between the Philly and a Kale Caesar Salad, which would have arguably been the healthy option. My wife loved the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, which I tasted and it was delicious. The shake was unexpectedly good as well. Note, the attached picture doesn't do the Philly justice.

Great mix of Vegan and WFPB - Edit
Love the options. You can have one of their bowls that are WFPB or you can choose vegan “comfort” food like chicken and waffles or all kinds of tacos .
Read moreCasual laid back atmosphere
I had the chicken and waffles. And the cafe mocha . Yum. Only downside was that they used pancake syrup instead of maple syrup
My sister had the quesabirria. Super good too.
Pros: WFPB options , Varied menu

Skip it, expensive and tasteless - Edit
I read the reviews and took my non vegan friends here and I was so embarrassed. Portions were tiny and expensive. But most importantly the taste was well tasteless. Two stars because their dragon fruit lemonade and cookies and cream shake were awesome! Also, they didn’t have any blasting music which is awesomeeeee! You rarely get to go anywhere with that privilege now a-days. Maybe other food is good, but not what we got: Two different kinds of burgers with fries and nachos.

Superb food! - Edit
So this was my second time here. I was familiar with the restaurant and the different assortments of food they had. The store is super clean. Lots of seating. This time around I got the BBQ shrooms sandwich with fancy fries and a strawberry milkshake for dessert. The BBQ sandwich resembled a BBQ shredded pork sandwich. The BBQ sauce was flavorful and the sandwich was messy (like BBQ sandwiches are supposed to be). Overall, excellent! The fancy fries were covered in a cheesy queso that must have been made of cashews or something. It was outstanding. The fries also had some vegan bacon that just added to the deliciousness. And to top it off, the milkshake was incredible. It had real strawberries on top and even came with coconut whip cream. Heaven! My only gripe (I think I've mentioned this in other reviews) is that they don't make everything in-house. They use the Beyond meat for some of the burgers and other things. But a lot of the stuff seemed to be made at the restaurant. I just appreciate it more when everything is made in-house. Price was fairly reasonable. I spent $23 or so for all of it and I was definitely full. I will definitely visit here again.

Yummy every single time! - Edit
Delicious! It’s a bit out of my way so I don’t go as often as I’d like, but I’m slowly working my way thru the menu. Everything I’ve had has been delicious. Buffalo cauliflower wings and their lavender lemonade are my fave so far. But next time I’m having a tough day and need some warm gooey comfort food, I’m getting their bbq mac & cheese again! Yum!

I liked it - Edit
I had been wanting to go here for a long time. My in-laws live in San Antonio, and we finally were able to go. I love that everything is vegan, and I actually had too many options for once, haha. I got the street tacos because I love tacos so much, but they were a little underwhelming. The asada was a little bland, and there was a ton of cheese on top, which personally is not a favorite of mine. Overall, they were good, I just wish they came with a fresh salsa instead of the crema sauce. My husband got the meatball sub with fries which he really liked. The fries were delicious! I stole quite a bit of them.

Delicious! - Edit
Some of the seemingly small portions are surprisingly filling! They have a great lil eating area outside. I like seeing the options of plastics VS reusables, so that made me happy too. For locals - they kept a lot of Freshiis old things, including recycling.

Ok - Edit
It definitely had a ton of vegetarian/vegan options as everything there is vegan. I got the classic burger with the impossible patty and the cheese was overpowering plus the patty wasn’t like any impossible patty I’ve had before. It could be a one off thing as far as the patty goes but I couldn’t get over the vegan cheddar cheese they put on the burger. If I’d gotten something else I may have enjoyed it more. I tried the nachos which were alright but overall it was subpar. Great option of your desperate for an all vegan menu but I won’t be going again.

This place hit all the boxes! - Edit
We travel FT and search out vegan places due to dairy and egg allergies. Wheat allergies can ge tricky. Vegan places often have a couple gf options too but to find a place that was 100% both vegan and gf!! Heaven!! We stopped for breakfast on our way out for a day trip and came back for dinner on our way back home! 😋 We got the chick'n and waffles for breakfast. They were amazing! For dinner we got the cauliflower wings (great flavor but not as crunchy as we like), the "lobster roll" (terrific!), and the Philly (also good but could have used a bit more cheez). All in a all an excellent find! Seriously, the chik'n and waffles were perfect!! Bonus points for a dog friendly patio. 🐾

Plantology offers all vegan and gluten free food. The restaurant is adorable inside and staff is very nice. Owner is extremely nice and does so much for the San Antonio vegan community.
Read moreI’ve had a few different things here but the Carne asada fries are my absolute favorite!
They also have the best vegan queso I’ve ever had in my life.
Some items don’t really seem worth the price. My husband got a breakfast sandwich for like 12-14 and he legit ate it in 5 bites. Some sandwiches are upwards of 15-16 and they don’t come with fries or a drink. I know vegan and gf food is going to be a lot more money than regular food, but I think a lot of the money you pay is going into the decor and location. I just can’t justify buying a sandwich for 2 hours of work 😭
Other than the price, this restaurant is great and I’m so happy to see a vegan and gf option in San Antonio.
