Fabulous food - Edit
This needed an update, as we have visited Plantkind quite a bit for lunchtimes and for the Friday evening pre-order takeaways. If you love middle eastern food and all the wonderful textures and flavours that that entails, you'll love Plantkind.
Read moreThe creamiest hummus and the best falafel. Everything is well presented. Generous and satisfying portions. Highly recommended.

Just falafel wrap - Edit
After our local falafel place closed I’ve been wanting good falafel and when we were taking a trip to Shrewsbury I thought this would be the perfect time. It was a very sunny Saturday so we were expecting it to be super busy, and it was which is fine. We didn’t wait long for to order at all. After we’d ordered my partner changed his mind about what sauce he wanted so just went up and said if it’s not too much trouble if it hadn’t been made can I change one of the sauces to which he was told yeah no problem just remind me in a second. The falafel wraps were done and he hadn’t got the sauce on it but they potted it up for him anyway. I feel like for the falafel to salad ratio is slightly out of balance with the salad side being heavier but that didn’t take away from the fact it was delicious and very fresh. There is a few in door seats but generally I’d say you’d be better taking out here. All in all if I was passing by and needed a quick lunch is definitely stop by again.

Fresh, tasty, 100% vegan! - Edit
Small menu of Indian food, which makes deciding easier!
Read moreOn entering the shop is very clean and the salad on display at the counter looks so fresh and tasty. I ordered the meal with falafel, chickpeas and came with a lovely sauce and dollop of humous and another sauce, plus sprinkle of chopped salad on the top. Portion size was plenty for lunch time and with the bread I was very full. Ordered a dessert too, which had to save for later. Even my dog enjoyed!
Will return thanks.
Pros: Hot, Tasty, Good portion size
Cons: Single use plastic lid on the food

Will be a regular haunt from now on! - Edit
Tried for the first time today after searching for somewhere new in Shrewsbury while visiting family. Really friendly service, great lively but cosy atmosphere, and the food is absolutely delicious. Fresh and flavoursome with a choice of filling/sauces so you can go for something herby or on the spicier side! Vegan cake and plant milks for coffee. This will definitely be one of our go-to places for every trip to Shrewsbury from now on!

Small but very good - Edit
They have a small menu, mainly centred around falafel (except for the street food of the day and the cakes) but make exceptional food at affordable prices. The flat breads are only £1 and massive!! My boyfriend recently got back from Jordan and said he actually preferred these falafels! There is limited seating so we got take out and ate in the scenic garden at the wildlife trust HQ, alternative locations to take the food in still-hot-condition would be the riverside or quarry park.
