Adorable cheese and dessert shop - Edit
This cheesery and dessert bar is adorable. It's nestled between larger storefronts in Birmingham, MI which is an upscale, cute area. They are 100% vegan, don't use refined sugar, mostly gluten free, and use ethically sourced ingredients. The cheeses and cheesecakes are made mostly from cashews. They have a lot of unique flavors so of course I had to get a flight. It's small portions but I didn't think it was too overpriced for what it is. My favorite part though were the cakes - so deliciously creamy and flavorful. I wish I lived closer and could get this more often, but it looks like they ship nationwide now! A great spot if you're looking for a classy date night

Cute Little Bakery! - Edit
Went here for the first time got a Tiramisu Salted Carmel Cake, they are small for $12 a piece but it was the best I’ve had. The Carmel one was so good , and having a dairy free carmel is hard to find! Cute little bakery will definitely be back!

A special treat or shortcut for entertaining omnis - Edit
This is artisan cheese and priced accordingly. That said, it’s really good and especially well loved by omnis if you’re putting together a cheese plate. The store has some serious Instagram vibes, but everyone is super nice and helpful

Delicious vegan cheeses, but desserts are a bit lacking - Edit
We bought the cheese flight and got the aged dill, garlic noir, spicy jalapeno, and one that had fig with it. The flight was $31 and included 1.5 ounces of each of the 4 flavors, a small handful of berries, and some crackers. The cheese flavors were very nice! Aged dill and spicy jalapeno had the richest flavors. Garlic noir was good. The one with fig was better without the fig which had large pieces that were hard to work around.
Read moreFor dessert we got two mini cakes - the Snickers and the Classic Cheesecake. These are raw desserts, so I expect them to be expensive and they are ($10-12 each for maybe 3 oz). But I was disappointed by the flavors. The Snickers cake had a few pops of good flavor, but was mostly just sort of bland. The classic cheesecake had a delicious top, but the rest was bland with a hint of sourness. Not worth the money for sure. I'll be back, but I'll be sticking to cheeses!

I’m new in MI and found this nice cake and cheese spot, it’s located in a very nice area near Detroit.
Read moreWe ordered for Christmas last year the menu and also a couple of little cakes for my birthday.
You can also dine in the store that is very pretty. During Christmas time you could also donate food preferably vegan or healthy or donate money and they donated vegan/veggie food to some place in Michigan.
Pros: Delicious vegan cakes , Very pretty spot , Vegan cheese
Cons: love if they add more in the menu in the future

Vegan cheese? Yes,please! - Edit
Planthropie is a very cute place with an amazing menu. We got the cheese tasting box, raspberry cheesecake and pistachio delight. Everything was delicious. We had no idea that vegan cheese could taste so great. Since going WFPB the only thing we missed was our Friday night cheese and wine. Now we have the solution. We can’t wait to visit again.

Pretty cool - Edit
The address is wrong, it’s 135 Pierce St., Birmingham. This guys finally open its break and mortar shop!
Read moreThe concept was a nice surprise. I think the samplers would be the best option. I got some to go cheesecakes and those were half frozen so I couldn’t really experience a good texture😒Triple chocolate was my favorite (it’s on display but not on the menu).
I tried too the two cheeses with crackers and they were good and smooth. Be careful with the crackers and bread, although the menus says it’s all GF (and raw) the bread and crackers that gave me with the cheeses were not.
I would be back for more an update the review.
PS: Phone number that appears in happy cow needs to be updated as well.

Thank you for visiting us on our big grand opening weekend! We appreciate your detailed feedback and your patience as we streamline our processes and perfect our guest experience. Our cakes are actually frozen desserts, and should be thawed for 20 min to come for their creamy luscious texture. Cake care and instructions will be available on our website and in store to help communicate this better. We will update the menu to clarify to prevent any future confusions. Our core products are the desserts and cheeses which are raw and GF with some lightly toasted elements/garnishes so please confirm upon placing the order. We offer gluten free crackers upon request, and GF option for the pasta (which is the only cooked item besides the bread and future rotational specials). Looking forward to having you again! Cheers.
