The best vegan meal subscription! - Edit
I can’t rave about this place enough. The food is delicious and fresh, and the menu changes every week. If you live in the Bay Area, you can get your meals delivered straight to your door.
Read moreThe food is also packaged in reusable containers which will be picked up during your next delivery, so I love this service even more for committing to zero waste 😊
Yes, it’s on the pricy side, but with inflation nowadays, I end up spending about the same as I would if I ordered takeout.
This service was a life-changer as it gave me easy access to healthy meals while I was recovering from an illness. Even now, I still maintain my subscription because there are some days when I’m too exhausted to cook. I highly recommend trying out this service when you’re not feeling well, you’ve just had a baby, or you’re too lazy and don’t want to cook 😅
Pros: Vegan, Variety of meals, Delicious

Perfect for the lazy, environmentally-conscious vegan who wants to be healthy - Edit
Planted Table is a hidden gem in the Bay Area. The company is local and incredibly passionate about what they do. They offer weekly whole food, plant based meal deliveries, and they’re a minimal-waste, organic, local, all vegan company.
Read moreEach week, a new menu is released, and you can choose to get your standard plan, choose a new plan for the week (there’s options for 3 day, 5 day, and kids, and they offer plans for 1, 2, and 4 people), add items from their weekly add on boutique, or skip that week. The food comes with heating and serving instructions, and usually requires no more than heating up certain pieces in the microwave or the oven. Almost everything is organic and locally sourced seasonal fare, and they accommodate dietary restrictions for a small fee.
The menus are thoughtfully crafted and always come with an endearing story from the chef. Meals are delivered every Wednesday in reusable glass containers that are picked back up the next week when you receive your next delivery.
Lots of their food is freezer-friendly, so you have options if you don’t plan to eat it all in that week. Every quarter or so, they offer a feast menu which includes beautiful, seasonally celebratory items (I did the winter holiday one, which included a vegan Wellington and scalloped potatoes).
The only complaint I have for this company is the cost. When I order from them, my meals come out to about $15 each. It’s comparable to going out to a casual restaurant for each of these meals, which isn’t too bad, but it can add up over time. The quality makes it worth it, but with a weekly cost of at least $110, it’s not in everyone’s budget.
Pros: Locally sourced, seasonal, organic fare, Very easy to heat up
Cons: Expensive
