I was visiting Indy for a couple of days and this was the only vegan restaurant open past 8pm that I could find. I'm so happy I went here! I wish I could've eaten in as this was a new location for the restaurant, and it was very fresh/modern, large, and fancy with all the tables pre-set with dishes, but I needed to order take out due to my own time constraints. I got a variety of dishes: Bombay Burger, Crab Cakes, Shiitake Wings, and Garlic Fries. EVERYTHING was delicious! I was especially surprised by the shiitake wings as I'm not normally a huge fan of vegan "wings", but these were the best I've ever had. I loved the texture, perfect blend of firm yet soft, not sure how they did it! All the other items were as good as expected (definitely try out the Bombay Burger for a unique twist on a standard veggie burger). Taina, the co-owner, was super friendly and welcoming to me the entire time, giving me a background of the business and displaying her passion for the vegan lifestyle. I'm happy to support this business, and would definitely go back next time I'm in town!

Read moreThe venue: It's not a traditional restaurant, you order online or at a kiosk in the pickup area; there are a few kitchens there and your meals are put in lockers for you. There is a bathroom and are picnic tables on-site. It's very easy to order and get your food; they also have a rewards program.
The food: They have a signature burger with a couple of options. It's got a great taste and texture, and the friend onions were a great touch! The basic burger is a patty, cheese, sauce, and french fried onions. The menu is pretty limited, which gives them more room to focus on quality, but if you like a lot of options/customization, you may be disappointed. The fries aren't included and can be a bit pricey to add on, but are also very good and the perfect mix of crispy outside and soft inside!

Visiting from out of town and picked Plantastic only because it was one of 2 vegan spots open later than 6p. It more than exceeded our expectations from a little spot in a shared kitchen space. I had the Bombay burger and bf had the Simply burger. The Bombay was so freaking good!! No pic because I was too busy shoving it in my face. I also got the buffalo wings and was surprised how much food there was. Good value for the money! Only regret was that I couldn’t finish it all.

Decided to try this place- the reviews are spot on! I really thought I was eating real shrimp and garlic fries. Our order consisted of the Po-boy sandwich, Bombay burger supreme (if you like Indian food- yum), garlic Parmesan fries. Order is done in the app or at the kiosk in the building. The prices were cheaper in the app than at the kiosk. There is a bathroom if you have to wait for your order.

Shrimp, Shrimp Po’Boy, fries and garlic fries. These were excellent and I’d order them all repeatedly. The price for the shrimp and the po’boy is a tad outrageous imho.
She has a caramel ice cream that was actually delicious!
Sauces! Bang Bang, Remoulade, Fry Sauce, that Jalapeño sauce - gimme all these sauce! The only sauce I disliked was her tartar sauce.
I tried the steak Hibachi dinner and it was good. Served with an edible spoon that was “herby” in taste.
I did not care for the crab cakes at all, unfortunately.
I found myself spending nearly $50 every time I went here. Maybe because I was trying so many things each time.
Regardless, this was one of my top favorites in Indy, and I can’t wait to go back.

We had the shrimp, crab cakes and garlic Parmesan fries. This was plenty of food for the two of us. It was delicious! We took our food to the Garage Food Hall to eat and grabbed a couple of drinks from Hard Truth and delicious vegan cookie butter ice cream at Lick. Perfect night!

Such a great experience! I was greeted with a sampler by the owners who were very kind! The shrimp poboy had great flavor! The "shrimp" is made from konjac, a root vegetable. If I hadn't known I would I have thought it was real shrimp. Check this place out!!!

Just moved to Indy, the owners came out and greeted us! She let us taste test their vegan shrimp, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is the BEST mock shrimp I've ever had. Paired with their delicious home -made 12 spice sauce (not hot). I highly recommend ordering take-out from here. Can't wait to come here again :)

I hadn't searched Happy Cow in some time for new vegan restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised when Plantastic popped up as an option. I found them using Google Maps, they're part of several pop-up type restaurants all under one roof. You simply walk inside and you'll see a small self-serve kiosk inside. Place your order, pay, and they'll notify you through text when your order is ready, and what your number is. You then return inside, and retrieve your order from a locker with the number you're given.

I'll completely botch it if I try to spell her name here, but she was as sweet and friendly as could be. She gave me a sample of their special cider, which was absolutely delicious, and told me about how she and her husband got their start.
My food was ready soon after, and I had the pleasure of meeting both the husband and wife halves of this wonderful enterprise. I ordered the Salmon Burger, and Parmesan Cheese Fries. Both were absolutely scrumptious, I inhaled both in less than 5 minutes. The Salmon Burger was sweet, smoky, and savory, and cost about $17. The Parmesan Fries were equally yum, the Parmesan was very good, and the fries were the perfect texture, not too chewy and not overcooked, just right. They cost about $7. Overall I'm very happy and look forward to my next visit!

Crab tacos and plantastic burger were amazing. Perfect “meat” , amount of sauce, size. Their mission is to make vegan (appealing to non vegans) more accessible (late night etc). Very kind, generous, personable couple who owns!! Would highly recommend for some delicious vegan burgers, tacos, garlic parm fries, even warm holiday cider was great (no alcohol) They’re looking to open bigger place (now it’s just pickup) so go support this new biz if you can😄
