The perfect balance between delicious and healthy, no wonder this all vegan taqueria is a hit. We ordered the quesadilla, two tacos, and the brewchata. All were delicious but the quesadilla stole the show! We even got some tacos to go as we wanted to try everything.

Solid breakfast tacos - Edit
I was excited when they opened their own place and have been many times both alone and with friends and family. The tl;dr is that these are solid breakfast tacos with a good range of styles. If you're looking for a traditional SA breakfast in downtown then this is the perfect place and worth visiting.
Read moreI would love to give five stars but I've noticed a few problems:
-- food is really salty, and a couple of times has been so salty it was hard to eat 🥵
-- the vegan cheese is in almost every kind of taco but it tastes cheap or somehow not quite right. I don't eat dairy so the comparison here isn't with cow cheese😄
-- the service can be pretty poor. I don't need people to pretend to be Super Happy Excited at work, in fact it creeps me out if they are, but multiple times there's been a kind of carelessness bordering on disrespect. Examples: taking 20 minutes to put ready-made tacos in a bag for takeout and then waiting to be asked to say it's ready; putting a huge number or sauce pots in one order (=loads of plastic waste) and then another time giving two sauces for an order for five people; giving no napkins for a takeout order, when it's food you need to eat with your hands. I always tip and find this kind of stuff a let down.
I might have been unlucky with these but have been enough times that it seems more of a pattern than one-off. I should note that I usually get take-out and sit by the river to eat so these mostly apply to take out service. None of these are deal breakers and I will go back. I would really love these small things to be improved because they seem easy to fix but dampen the experience. The place is cute as hell and very almost excellent.

This is a very nice spot for delicious breakfast tacos. The atmosphere is light and vibrant, and the staff is very friendly. Good variety of different tacos and great horchata. 4$ per taco. Just the salsa could use more spice!

My non-veg husband and I went there for breakfast & loved it. His favorite was the Barbicoa jackfruit. But really they were all too good to pick a favorite. We topped it off with horchata & brewchata - ah-mazing. Highly recommend.

The food was great and the service was fast!!! I’m definitely going back so I can try a few more things on the menu. $11 for four small tacos and there were several protein options and Everything Was Vegan on the menu!!!

Love the concept. I tried almost everything on the lunch menu and had both their watermelon and cinnamon rice milk. Everything was tasty, including the drinks! One recommendation for those who like less spice is to request "salt to taste", or less sodium. Everything is fleshly made so it is possible. The authentic flavor is spot in. I will visit again if I'm in ever in the area.

Plantaqueria has the best vegan breakfast tacos you can find in San Antonio, and I’m so happy they were able to open a brick-and-mortar location after doing pop-ups and partnerships for so long previously. Before they opened it was hard to consistently go to their pop-ups but now I really appreciate how good their food (breakfast and not) is. And I really appreciate that they wanted to be part of the downtown culture. I’m so so happy for them and so so happy they exist haha.

I tried their breakfast tacos and their mini tacos. My favorite breakfast taco was La Tejana I could eat these everyday and I would never get tired of them. The mini tacos were very good but they were just a tad bit salty for my taste. I also really liked their red sauce it was more flavorful than spicy but very delicious.

This great taqueria recently transitioned from pop up to brick and mortar. So glad my friend recommended them for our recent visit to San Antonio. We enjoyed 3 different breakfast tacos - La Lucha, La Frida, and La Tejana. All were excellent with warm fresh made flour tortillas and a tasty tomatillo sauce. They also have lunch options of mini tacos and tortas. I expect menu may expand after this soft opening phase.
