This is a great place for a nicer dinner/date night. We got the bang bang broccoli, 1000 layer crispy potatoes, carbonara and spicy lumaconi pasta. Everything was great but the bang bang broccoli was the favorite. We went home with tons of leftovers 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect for a date or anniversary, Planta is a little more upscale than other vegan spots in the city. We had the 1000-layer potatoes and the bang bang broccoli as apps and then the carbonara and spicy lumaconi pastas and everything was excellent. Friendly staff, delicious rotating menu, and great atmosphere. We always make sure to hit Planta on our Toronto visits

Not your usual vegetarian place. This restaurant is quite inventive, creating interesting alternative takes on typical fare. Good seasonings and presentation. Nice setting. Price reflects all of the above.

I went with a friend, who is not vegan, and he enjoyed his meal as much as I did. Lisa, our server, was exceptional! She told us her favourite dishes, which were a real hit. Both the lasagna and the carbonara are stellar.

We enjoyed our first meal here so much that we had to eat here two more times during our week-long stay in the city! (OK, part of it was also because our hotel was just a couple blocks down the street AND lots of places were closed over Christmas AND there was a major winter storm). We ordered different things every time and they were all delicious. I was skeptical about the pizzas at first but boy were they good! The restaurant is spacious with high ceiling and modern decor. Service was friendly and efficient. Would've loved to try the brunch!

I really love this place and am always happy with the food. In love with their bao sliders and desserts, as well as their queso fundido. Great for a nice evening out. 4 stars because I wish their menu had a little more variety.

I’ve struggled to find vegan restaurants that aren’t just dinners or junk food havens. This def fits the bill. Had the carbonara. Truth be told, I’ve had better. But the dish was scrumptious. Whole table enjoyed their food.

Vegan upscale dining - Edit
Finally after being vegan for two years we found an upscale full service restaurant that’s 100% vegan. Mind you, we had to travel to another country lol. We made reservations to have lunch at Planta on our way back home from vacation. We ended up arriving 2 hours sooner than we expected but they were fine with the change. The Yorkville location is everything. The restaurant decor is modern and hip. The staff was friendly and efficient and the food and drinks were wonderful. Best dining experience since we went vegan. Highly recommend if you’re in Yorkville. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is excellent. The menu is incredible and the food is amazing. If you’re going on a weekend night, I would recommend giving them a call or booking a table as this place is really popular. Check out the pizza and the pasta dishes!

Planta is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in the city. The food is always bursting with flavour and presented in artful ways. The restaurant itself has an open and airy atmosphere, helping to cultivate a finer dining experience. With that said, it is more expensive than it should be. It is located in Yorkville which is one of Toronto's more affluent areas, so this is expected. Ultimately I think everyone should try Planta at least once!
