Still a fab BUT - Edit
Planta has been my go to before beginning my vegan journey. The food is consistent; however, it's getting boring for what it's worth. My recommendation - visit during happy hour - you get great options for fraction of the reg menu. The PB Burger slaps. It's a pity it's not on the regular menu. Despite it all, still remains high on my list.

Not bad, but not great - Edit
I’ll start by saying I ordered Planta for delivery and my Doordash driver was on bike, so by the time the food got to me it had been sitting for about an hour. We got multiple things to try. The chinese chick’n salad was good, but I wish there was more dressing. There’s a LOT of cilantro, so be aware if you aren’t a fan. The spicy lumaconi pasta and the spaghetti carbonara were okay. I probably wouldn’t get them again. The last thing we got was the margherita pizza, which was my favorite out of everything. It definitely would have tasted better fresh, but I loved the pizza!

Very Expensive, Very Mediocre - Edit
The server was amazing. The presentation of the food was great. However, two of the three items I ordered were mediocre.
Read moreThe Bang-Bang Broccoli was decent.
The Artichoke Dip was okay but the chips were stale.
The s'mores pie slice was pretty good.
I would try again for lunch instead of dinner and see if it could change my mind.

Lives up to the hype. - Edit
Went for lunch with work colleagues and we ordered a bunch of items to share. Everything was so delicious! Definitely get the Bang Bang Broccoli and then follow your heart - you can’t go wrong! There are also a ton of gluten free options and substitutions if that’s something you’re looking for.

Amazing. and worth it! - Edit
This was amazing! I didn’t think it would be anything, only pretty atmosphere, but no no they had great food as well! It is pricey, especially if you want to try different things, but I mean it was worth it to us. They were playing with textures and flavors. Even those darn little potatoes were amazing! We got the brunch and I had the French toast, seems boring right? Noooo this was unlike you’ve ever had! It had everything, textures, slight sour, salt, sweet. I mean it was too great. My spouse had some of the other stuff and he was happy as he loves mushrooms! The Chaga coffee was great too. We wanted to go back but we decided to go to another nice place instead. This was very close too to where were were staying. It’s pricey though, but again get all dolled up, bring your cc and eat some interesting good plant foods!

This is a restaurant with a well thought out vegan meal that could easily appease any omni. I had the white pizza which had leeks and was extremely pleased with the flavour.

Bang bang broccoli - Edit
We had the bang bang broccoli and a pizza since that was their distinction from Planta Queen. It was good pizza but it is harder to find good vegan sushi, so I’d recommend sushi over pizza. The bang bang broccoli is everything,

Almost a perfect meal! - Edit
Been a longtime fan of PLANTA and have frequented the locations in New York City, so I’ve been eager to try out the Canadian location, especially the unique menu offerings.
Read moreOrdered four times: bang bang broccoli (small plate), fungi salad, udon noodles, and leek Bianca pizza. The bang bang broccoli and udon noodles remain my all-time favorite dishes from PLANTA (across locations) and are always a staple in each order of mine. Tried the fungi salad for the first time and it didn’t disappoint—it was quite flavorful and rich in texture and generous with dressing. However, the pizza was very underwhelming (despite prior rave reviews) and tasted very salty and dry. The vegan cheese seemed to be a strange texture. Would not recommend this pizza but would highly recommend all the other items listed above!!
Very spacious and aesthetically pleasing indoor seating. Even though it was a hot summer day and the wall of windows were open, it remained pleasantly cool inside.

Vegans and Vegetarians can't go wrong with Planta Toronto. - Edit
If you are vegetarian/vegan and looking for a nice meal, you can't go wrong with Planta in Toronto. Menu is full of outstanding items, all plant based, all worth trying. Great, friendly service.
Read moreThe atmosphere at this location differs from the atmosphere in the downtown location, which is a great thing; both are excellent choices.
If you're planning on visiting, you won't be disappointed, but be sure to research the downtown and midtown locations to get the perfect setting for the dinner you have in mind.

Always Good - Edit
This is my first time going to Planta (I typically always go to Planta Queen). They have a similar menu to Planta Queen which I liked because getting the Bang Bang broccoli is mandatory. Also had some edamame and the Leek Bianca Pizza. The Leek Bianca Pizza was highly delicious and I highly recommend it.

Try the Sushi! - Edit
Planta in Yorkville has such a great vibe. The staff are great and the service is quick.
Read moreLove their sushi; it's so inventive and really tasty! The potato app with caviar is really great too.
The Caesar salad is phenomenal and the white leek pizza is really delicious.
On the (minor!) downside, the pasta portions are quite small.
If you plan to go on a weekend, I recommend a reservation as it seems to get quite busy.definitely worth a stop I'd you're in Toronto and you're looking for an elevated dining experience!
Pros: Sushi, Caesar Salad, Vibe and service
Cons: The pasta portions are on the small side

Amazing - Edit
Got the lunch deal with bang bang broccoli and chick’n waffles. Both were fantastic! I will say that between the two Planta locations in Toronto (this and Planta Queen), I preferred Planta Queen, which does more Asian fusion stuff. But you can’t go wrong with either. Service was also fantastic.

Really consistent - Edit
Planta is a little pricy, but a very consistent restaurant. I haven’t had a bad experience at the Yorkville location since they first opened and used to have a loud DJ. The vibe has changed and now it’s a comfortable place to eat with attentive staff and excellent food. I go here for special occasions with my (non-veg) mom who says it’s her favourite restaurant in the city. They also provided us with a really good fixed price menu for my wedding rehearsal dinner with around 15 people in 2018. I don’t go often because of the price, but I enjoy it when I do. The standout is definitely the sushi!!!

Crispy rice - Edit
Four stars only because in Toronto, I think PLANTA Queen is just better overall. Still, I enjoyed the sushi that I got here at PLANTA Yorkville. My favorite out of everything was the "Crispy Rice: spicy ahi watermelon, avocado". The Mushroom Bacon Inari was interesting too, but I would've liked it to stand out more from standard Inari. The key lime cheesecake with coconut whip, lime zest, and oat crust was pretty good.
